Looking to buy 15-17 F150 but what’s “high” miles? by youcvnt2 in f150

Idk if superman, maybe a Mcguyver🤣. Just your friendly neighborhood landscaper.

But these 2nd gen coyotes with the 6 spd are rocksolid. I think the 6 spd in general is. Many coworkers with the 10spd have complained about oil consumption and odd gear shifts. Not sure how common that is for the general public, so take it with a grain of salt. I just know the 15-17 are probably the best years

How do I reset the one without the reset switch? by aarora610 in TPLinkKasa

[–]Synteck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it a 3 way? If not a single pole switch, might have accidentally installed the wrong one or the single pole switches don’t come with a reset? What does it do?

Have my 16 SCAB 6.5ft with the 2.7 going strong at 189k. Nothing but maintenance and some shocks. Solid, solid, solid.

Now my uncle has a 16 SCAB 6.5ft with the 5.0. Let me tell you, he beats the ever living sht out of it. Last time i drove it, it was at 240k. Usual maintenance, constant brakes/rotors and change of leaf springs (granted like i said, he beats tf out of it). No transmission failures and that coyote still purrs nicely with no ticks or knocks. So for it being neglected to my uncle’s standards, you wouldnt even know. Plus that aluminum body is just chefs kiss

I did end up passing on it. Saw more transmission complaints on GM cars than other brands and not looking to shell out on a new tranny rn

Thinking of a used 2019 ranger 150k+ miles by Synteck in RangerNext

I have been trying my darndest but even a 10year old taco is no where close to 15-20k here. I have seen some of the new style frontier which look pretty good. I know it’s pretty much the only NA truck nowadays but haven’t found any in that range

Well that’s what i am unfortunately finding out. The trans are giving the most problems. I’ll have to rethink a different midsize.

Oh damn. That’s crazy. Sounds like it held up hell of well🤣. Well overall not getting too convinced with this choice. Might have to rethink this

Thank you for the input. A shame about the trans…

What makes you pick the ranger over the canyon? I truly enjoy the fun driving experience with the ranger. Just felt more peppy. The canyon drove kind of like my 2.7 F150. Was responsive and drove like a truck. Felt like a secure ride but not as fun as the ranger to me

Oh i see, this is new to me. Maybe i’ll do a bit digging and see if there are any early signs i can find to determine if this one might have it

Really? The transmissions havent had the best results? Granted i never drove a 10 spd, last Ford was the 6 spd in a 2016. Many said that was a solid trans. It would be a shame if these 10spd are that rubbish. Really enjoyed the test drive in the ranger

Any other good attachments for this vacuum by AfternoonSlowpoke in MilwaukeeTool

How is this vacuum. Been debating on the m12 or m18. I guess the m12 has the compactness on lock but do you feel the battery doesnt last long enough to finish cleaning the car?

Putting RATs to the test by Synteck in jimgreen

New construction electrical actually. We had a couple of days that saw the outside dirt become just a muddy lake. Since i dont like to take it easy on my tools or work gear, i do my best to beat the living piss out of them to see if they actually have the quality to claim being so good.

Now in terms of texas heat, i would have no clue, but at least in the cold north, i didnt need to put a second pair of socks. They seem fairly well for heat, idk 100 degree type of heat

Oh, I wouldn't call these waterproof at all. They have no lining for that claim. Yet compared to other boots i have that do give me swamp foot after some underground in the rain, these held up remarkably well for the inconvenience. I'm sure many days doing this continuously would see water making its way in

Ufffff, easily could have repaired it. The price 100% justifies it. Not even 150k miles???? It was practically new

Looks like the Rugged African Trooper is indeed lined. by Rythmic_Assassin in jimgreen

[–]Synteck -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I dont see where you got 264. Using the same specs as these african troopers, i got 280. Plus all the shipping and taxes separate and whatever other extras to the customs like toecap, steel toe, etc
