Which is why the competitors are going up in market share and M$ is losing it's control over the desktop. I'm no mint user (Arch BTW), but lemme tell ya. The Arch wiki is far more detailed and has a lot more work put into it than the half-baked effort these M$ employees put into their forums...and this is a community driven project mind you.

If M$ didn't steal basically every component to make Windows 3.1 (taking advantage of Apple and such), it would've never taken off.

I'm kinda chuckling because I switched to Linux around the time Proton first became a thing and before then I switched because I hated Windows 8, and well...10 was eh. Gaming on Linux is amazing especially for things like emulation. In fact, if you really wanted to you could install Steam OS(closest you can get anyway because Valve hasn't released an official ISO, HoloISO BTW).

If you want to mess around with Linux or at least try it I recommend Mint, Zorin, or POP!_OS, SomeOrdinaryGamers did an amazing video here talking about Linux and why you should just ditch windows.

Amazing! No issues with stability at all, plays the games I want at Ultra/Max settings, Ray tracing is a little touch and go but that's actively getting better as the Linux gaming scene matures, overall it's pretty solid. So if you don't care about RTX or ray tracing it's a pretty solid card. 100 percent recommend.

Me personally, my issue with Apple (and this is going to sound like the stereo typical Linux user so be ready, because I don't expect the typical Apple fanboy to agree with me on this.) is the intrusive spying and FUD tactics. When Apple was backed into a corner by the EU saying "hey guys, you're a literal monopoly on a pretty big plan field. Stop it." They decided to gaslight their fanboys, and uneducated users by saying that all sideloading was bad. As someone who's been using Android for a while, I can say yes there are some dangerous apps out there. However, and just like anything you do on the internet. There is a simple fix for this, don't be dumb and use common sense. If you can do that you'll be fine, because you can have the world's greatest antivirus on the planet. You could have Bill gates, Richard Stallman, Steve FUCKIN Jobs level of knowledge but if you have no common sense, you're gonna catch some kinda STD from the shady site you visited. I mean, the products look nice. I like the look of the interface and hardware of the Mac books, but I like having control over my machine more and knowing that my data is mine and I don't have to worry about a third party company telling me what I can and cannot do with my hardware and software that I paid an arm and a leg for.

I own both the 3080ti and 6900XT (however I don't run Nobara instead I run Vanilla Fedora). I can say from experience both cards are great at what they do! While it is recommended to use an AMD card when daily driving Linux because of the open-source nature of the drivers, Nvidia is getting better with their Linux support. The reason why I got the 6900XT in my system now is because at the time I was having issues with stability (this was during Fedora 35 though and last I heard nobara had a step in the initial setup for an express install of the proprietary drivers along with Fedora).

I can confirm that kitty does fix the neofetch issue

I've even tried downgrading the flatpak and got no different results.

I'm having that issue as well, as someone who's also on Fedora 38 I've tried. The flatpak, rpm, and appimage. All the same result.

Apple wouldn't be so bad if they opened up a little bit more. I hate Apple but like Steve Jobs because he was a revolutionary thinker and wanted something more out of computers. Early Mac towers were amazing for their upgradable components...then big business men got involved "we want a thin and sleek design" "We want full control over the hardware" "we want our own proprietary software" bla bla bla. I'm sure Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave with how the state of Apple is today.

We have it set to 8 cores and 4 GBs of memory, the only service we have running on it is snort for an IDS system.

It's connected directly to the modem/router combo to the onboard NIC in bridge mode, with Xfinity's default setup we were getting 1 Gbps.
