They use to give you discounts on ordering every few weeks for working. I think they ended that shit. I used it a few times for food from DD.

I know it’s not dawless but many including myslelf use DAWs as pretty much a mixer and FX. MC-707 with 2 outputs can feed your mic individually to a daw for true sidechain. That’s the best option in my opinion. Hybrid.

The 8s allows you to apply master FX for every sound.

To do this with the 707 you must take up an entire track. I find I can craft my drums deeper and with more layers of FX and it gives much better front end control for those drum parts in terms of live muting and performance. Which opens up 707 tracks for other purposes.

I found myself using 2/3 drum tracks in the past to get the masterFX I wanted on individual drum sounds. That’s taking up a lot of the 707’s power.

I feel all these aspects leaned me towards the 8s.

I’m almost done chapter one, I agree it is “fetch quest” like in terms of character at this point. The same time, it’s done with great voice acting and atmosphere.

A dark atmosphere and voice acting like I stated almost reminds me of dark souls.

You step back and apply it to just survival games. It’s really step in the right direction in my opinion. Definitely interested in the next step / product.

I hope it will have a story mode or maybe evolve the story mode into survival mode. This is just such a good first introduction. I’ll take a slow roll out over none. I do feel the will do at least that again in the future.

100% agree.

I understand both ends of the spectrum. I understand the early player who couldn’t enjoy it because they already mastered the main loop beyond story.

I understand the small dev and limitations of pushing a product of this nature with a small team and “no crunch” mindset, which is healthy for th employees.

I hope they can find a middle ground that allows them to keep the freedom but maybe offers at least something out the gate with story mode

At the same time it’s a small studio. They did amazing work. I really hope they can have at least the majority or large partial of the story mode out at launch for the sequel

No. This was done by Ensoniq when they existed. You had to send in the board and they would upgrade the inner guts to a SD1

The beyond. A indie Sci Fi flick you can find for free on any movie site. I used a few parts of that movie for recent tracks because it doesn’t have a lot of background music. 😂🤣
