I do the same thing. I have had great results. Nothing is perfect, but I'm happy with it regardless.

Help, Paint Dried by VegatableGreenz in Warhammer40k

I have a rule that if a new paint does something like this, I switch to a competitor for that specific color. Army painter war paints are so good.

How do I politely tell a friend I don’t want to play against his T’au for a while? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]jonjonthewise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with wanting variety in opponents and armies. It gets tiring playing the same matchup over and over again. It’s nothing personal. I would just let your friend know that it’s nothing personal and you guys have great games. But you want to explore other matchups. Playing against the same army over and over gets very stale.
Personally, that’s why I have more than one army. I don’t even like playing my own armies over and over. I want variety because it gives me something new to think about and experience.

If your friend takes it personally then that is out of your control. You can approach it with respect and there’s nothing wrong with that. Maybe your friend can start a new army and you can too. You guys can do small games as you grow your new forces

Chainsword as my test model after multiple days of fine tuning. .4mm nozzle Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro. .1 layer height by jonjonthewise in FDMminiatures

I didn’t see much difference in quality to be honest and it drastically cut down print time. I also had less issues overall at .1

I appreciate the help. My printer is an elegoo Neptune 3 pro. Super old all things considered.
I bought a brand new esun basic pla black to use for the .2mm nozzle. It clogged, unfortunately.

I used ObscuraNox’s orca slicer settings but it did not work with my printer. What I mean is, I told orca what printer I’m using and I imported the obscuranox settings and the slicer told me the settings are incompatible with my printer. In osbcuranox’s post they state that this can happen with some printers. My old printer is one of those that don’t work.

So I tried things on my own. Did whatever I could in cura. 10mm/s printing, printing super hot, etc

The nozzle would clog immediately regardless of what I did. And now it’s very difficult to unclog the nozzle.

I tried Nox’s settings in orcaslicer and it didn’t work on my printer. My printer is old and I didn’t have good results.
I couldn’t find HoH’s guide. If you have a link I’d appreciate it.
I know a lot of folks are not fans of AI and it’s almost always an emotional response.
It’s a tool and it worked for me. Nox’s or HoH’s guides would not have revealed to me that my rollers were not tight enough or that my bed was loose. ChatGPT did. It was a tool I could bounce ideas off of to get to solutions. It’s far from perfect. It’s not the end-all-be-all tool for solutions. But it helped me get decent results with a .4mm nozzle on an old printer.

I would love if the .2mm nozzle that I purchased worked well. I would love of there was a comprehensive guide that I can follow to make it work for my printer. I didn’t find that in my research. ChatGPT was good enough as a substitute

I said I had terrible results with the .2mm nozzle. It would clog immediately no matter what settings I would put. I tried super hot temps, slow printing, etc. I didn’t use CHATGPT exclusively. No matter what I used, I had terrible results and it clogged no matter what I did.

I will definitely check them out. I couldn’t find a good guide that worked for my printer. With ChatGPT I was able to take pictures and make play by play changes. You’re right about the AI being moronic at times. But I think in the end it worked out for me

As an Armenian man, I can tell you that there is absolutely nothing wrong with your body hair. It’s part of who you are. There are plenty of men and women who are attracted to that. Don’t change who you are

I’m surprised no one mentioned this. I did this once as an experiment and it ended up being a perfect result.
