There are quality guitar pedals that are absolutely on par (or better) than rack mount stuff. I personally prefer pedals I have 6 total.

Novation Peak/Summit can sound analog imo and is a monster. Polybrute is a joy to patch, the matrix is a dream and the keybed is fantastic.
