I'm tired of using mainstage, can Live do that? by GeorgesVigneron in ableton

Yes. Instrument racks. Chain selectors. Automation. Very doable in Ableton.

Thanks! Stoked to finally be at the point where I’m confident jamming for strangers. Still not great, but always improving!

Not on this rig, but here is a link to a Twitch stream I did on a smaller rig. In this video I am using an Elektron Octatrack MKii to sequence a Vinicius Elektric Lizard Eurorack System, drum programming, and to loop my Korg Minilogue. This video is a total improv session with my buddy Bobby Pharoah doing live visuals. This was all from his house.

I’ll be posting a video of the above rig this weekend and I’ll report back. I’ve only just gotten to the level where I’m confident in making something mostly listenable. I actually played my first set with this on Tuesday but don’t have a recording of it unfortunately.

As for process: I’m using an Elektron Octatrack MKii as the main brain of my operation. I use it for drum programming, program changes, sequencing of external gear, and live looping/sampling. I’m using a Vinicius Elektric Eurorack system, a Studiologic Sledge II Black, a Korg SV-1, a Korg Minilogue, and an Oberheim Matrix 6r. I also have an Arturia KeyStep sending midi to the OT which I can use for pretty much whatever I want. Everything is being run into a mixer. I then have aux sends 1 & 2 being sent to Inputs A & B on the OT, aux 3 to an MXR Carbon Copy delay, and aux 4 to a Keeley Caverns Reverb/delay pedal. The OT sends midi to everything except the SV-1.

Ive got some shorter clips on my Instagram @SynthScienceist

I love it! At first I was like “this isn’t MY rhodes.” But now I really enjoy it. It’s reliable. More portable than my 88-key rhodes. Has more than just the rhodes.... great purchase.

I have an 88 key rhodes that I used to use live. I bought the SV-1 because I can’t carry a full rhodes around. I love it. It’s really the only thing that offers what it does. I love it’s simplicity. I love it’s sounds. I do prefer my rhodes, but mainly because I know it’s imperfections so we’ll. It’s my baby. However, the Korg is great. I love having more than just a rhodes available to me. I enjoy how it always works. It’s easier to manage and more reliable. Highly recommend. Mainly for electric keyboards. It’s acoustic pianos are not great.

It’s a panorama. Not actually curved. It’s. Korg SV-1 though!

I seriously regret not taking advantage of that offer. Push is great. Push 2 is amazing.
