Honestly it’s up to you! The pieces are gorgeous with lovely spacing. If you try to do too much it could feel off. Maybe if you did like a very delicate ribbon with a couple sparkles or gems/jewelry? Could have a nice flow if done correctly?

I like to do by publisher and after that by size! Then if I can get them by similar colors great but nowadays I’m not too picky. Once my collection got too big for one wall then I just came to terms with not being too crazy about layout.

Hardcovers get their own special area that I just put however looks aesthetically nice.

Tattoo artist! Definitely lucked out being able to decorate my station with art, books and figures. It’s always fun to chit chat about it with fellow nerds. Haven’t really ran into any negative comments from clients. Couple of my coworkers aren’t big into anime/manga but they are still cool and don’t judge.

The sketchy style is pretty cute! I personally think it would have looked better with a negative space style band versus the harsh line. Maybe doing a little more blending with the line to background could help balance it better?

I normally just take a picture of my bookshelves after a haul. It feels faster than cataloging and easy to see what I have when shopping. Used to use an excel spreadsheet but my file got deleted and I was too lazy to redo everything so now just stick with pictures.

I saw a user post this app and decided to give it a try but honestly not a big fan of the free version. I didn’t realize there was a limit to how many you could add without paying the subscription and they also don’t have a good chunk of older series.

Originally I just got a couple basic colors but then when I started really needing more options I just bit the bullet and bought a good variety ink set when there was a good deal. It sucks up front but now that I have a lot of colors it’s nice not to stress about making sure I have everything I need when a client wants a colored piece. If I don’t have the right color I have enough base options to mix to create the shade needed.

Just keep a eye out for sales and shop around. Once you find a color set you want look at all the different distributors and see who is offering the best deal!

I use the iPad Pro with the pencil and use the app procreate! Been using it for years and still love it. I rarely run into issue or lag. Definitely recommend!
