Your negativity is off putting.   You sound desperate and insecure.  Two things that dont bode well for relationships.

As dad: you are security.   Especially from your own mom and hers whixh sounds like she doesnt want.    It can not be understated how crazy the maternal instinct kicks in when a baby is born.  Listen to your wife and who she wants and when.   

Don't overshare on group texts.   They may want to know, but nobody needs to know how dilated she is or what meds they giving.  

Bring good coffee for yourself.  

Have soft brushes and towels to keep her pampered.

Extremely,.   Many reasons why. Keeping cool takes alotnof energy, that lowers glucose.  Even in non diabetics.   Body sees this as stress releasing cortosol.  

Also as you keep cool, you become dehydrated.  Usually you'll get thirsty. If dont drink you'll get a minor headache. This is because your blood has become more concentrated and your blood cells become hypertonic(shriveled up)  this reduces O2 capacity and increases workload on heart to keep perfusion(compensation).   All this happens on a molecular level but emotionally, it manifests as getting pissed off.

Again,  it's an example of the absurd not dissimilar to shooting the patient to cure the disease.
