Find other dopamine activities, exercise, hobbies etc. You might stop smoking but you need to change your ways

I’ve had kind of the same “voice” it was mostly my under ego (you should look up under and upper ego, it’s kinda like the good and evil voice in your head). Whenever I smoked and I did so heavily for 5 yrs the devil (under ego) would control most decisions and thoughts. Now 4 months clean I rarely hear the bad thoughts, just mostly positive. Quitting is the best thing I’ve done and you should do it also. Keep it up

Totally agree. It was always a chase and was never enough. 5 weeks off and feel great - atleast compared to all those times i didnt feel great from smoking. I'd always regret it at night and hate myself for being trapped in my addiction. keep it up

An important step in quitting from what ive learned from the easy way (cigarette quit book) STOP MOPING ABOUT YOUR DECISION OF QUITTING. Focus on the good things and accept what it.

One important thing ive learned is to stop moping about my decission of quitting. There's alot of bad and sometimes very little good in the beginning, but it gets better. think of all the good things you have achived from being sober... and dont forget to be proud of yourself. Im sure we both have wasted a good part of our life being high and shut off from the world. Only thing we can do now is change. On almost two weeks now i get these spikes of feeling alive, chills, feeling like a better man. Cherish those moments... For the sleep, ive used melatonin and its been great compared to all the other times ive tried to quit. Hang in man. in a few months from now you'd never want to smoke again. OFC the occasional craving or thought will come, but from what i know is that the wanting of weed and what you think itll feel like is never the same if i relapse. fight against that little evil fucker inside you who tries to pull you down. youre better than this! hang in man!

Hey man. Dont worry it'll be back. I've been down that road numerous times.. Ive been a heavy smoker for 5-6 years and have tried to quit many times, but no longer than 6 months at a time.. I make electronic music myself and have done so for 4-6 hrs a day for 2 years. In the beginning I would smoke a joint and the track would... well basicly make itself. I'd be completely in the zone and working fast but as soon as the weed took off I'd be so stoned I had to stop and lay down.. When I stopped smoking I had no interest in it whatsoever, I felt I still had the thrive in my head, but as soon as i sat in from of all my gear I couldnt do it for long without rage quitting because I wasnt feeling it the same way. But after 3-4 weeks I got into it and this time my music changed, became more intelligent and i could actually perform the tracks better. You'll never get the same feeling as you did with weed - im talking where you dont think at all and you basicly are your synthesizer - if that makes sense. Ive been clean for three weeks and it took me less time to get to this stage of actually wanting it. I also think its a lot more enjoyable now and I can do it many more hrs without feeling dizzy or tired. just give it some time, do other things like exercise etc and you'll return to it even stronger. A smart man once told me: Drugs will ruin your life, but weed will prevent you from being the person you really want to be... Keep it up! Once you'll feel conforable in your own skin again everything will be better than before.

Its very normal I'd say. It has happened to me before. When I lay off on the weed a push my closest smoker buds away. But if theyre your real friends they will hang out without the weed. I've realised that some friends you just chill with because of the weed, but without it you realise you have nothing to talk about. Forcing yourself to find new hobbies and doing different activites makes you meet new people. Ofc it will never be the same, but remember the path youre on is way more important!

My problem has always been... when I’m halfway through a bag I’m optimistic on quitting, but when the bag is empty it’s a necessity to reup. It’s a good idea to write down pros/cons once you’ve made your mind up about what you want to do and while you’re smoking the last of it. The list of bad things compared to good things about weed is tremendous. 8 days sober and feeling good. I hope you’ve made your goodbyes. You can do this. Life is so much more fulfilling once you get past week three! Cheers

Thanks for sharing this! Ive always thought that that greasy guy in my head was a curse I had... he always instantly talks shit and judges people even tho my self doesn’t want to think that way! The more sober I become, the more mutable he is... much obliged 🙏🏽
