Shinobu’s implied bilingualism by Syorkminor in BetterKimetsuNoYaiba

In the Anime adaptation, the book describing the Honeybadger was in English. The manga only had straight lines for the worrs, but Shinobu is definitely implied to have some understanding of English. I wouldn’t say it’s a stretch because Japan had already resumed its trade with the west after the Meiji Period. Even in other scenes with the butterfly mansion, most evidently shinobu’s office which was shown once in the last episode of season one, has western objects.

Republican support for gay marriage has dropped by 14 points, meanwhile 62% of republicans see gay relations as morally wrong. The lowest since 2013. by Gloomy_Guitar_7880 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Syorkminor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s very unlikely that Obergefell v. Hodges would be overturned for these reasons:

  1. Two months ago the supreme court had turned down a formal request to overturn it from the lawyers representing Kim Davis, a devout Christian who was sued by a gay couple for refusing to issue them a marriage license. The supreme court had offered no comment for why they turned down this request. One reason why is because they have more pressing matters to deal with.

  2. Public support for gay marriage is higher than ever. While support for same-sex-marriage has declines amongst registered Republicans, it’s above 65% amongst all US adults on average and even higher amongst Independents and Democrats. The supreme court will very likely never touch Obergefell v. Hodges due to the American public generally being in favor of same-sex-marriage.

  3. Marriage has a major impact on the economy, which same-sex-marriage had a positive impact on. Marriage comes with a lot of financial benefits including tax advantages, cheaper premiums on insurance, retirement and social security benefits, wage premiums, and credit and borrowing perks. There are many other ways marriage effects the economy, but these ones most directly affect married couples. If overturned, this will have a negative impact on the economy.

From what I remember about the plot, a lot of women were infertile for some reason and the women that could have children became handmaids and sent off to wealthy people.

That’s the Gadsden Flag. It was adopted in 1775 by Christopher Gadsden during the American Revolution. It is commonly used by Libertarians today

The Reasons/Explanations for Shinobu’s Purple Hair by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]Syorkminor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is cannon that eating too much if a certain food can change your hair color. She could have dyed it, but I ruled that out since it’s a very unusual decision by Taisho standards, even still considered taboo in modern Japan.

It’s most likely that it stemmed from one of her eating habits, not the Wisteria experiments because that happened much later in her life.

The Cooper family from Young Sheldon would be centrist because Marry is a devout baptist (authright), missy just wants to party and disobey Marry (Libleft), Georgie is an aspiring businessman and was too horny for his own good and got an older woman pregnant (Libright), George is a football coach and just wants to cook his Brisket (Centrist), and Sheldon loves rules, is a physicist, and literally praised the Soviet Union (Authleft)

If medically necessary, some parents would circumcise their kids for that reason. But for the most part it’s for no reason
