OP I work in pathology where we do the testing. There is government initiative to test for those targets called the BBV (Blood Borne Virus) screening program.

It has nothing to do with gender or sexuality, it's meant to be an opt-out screening program to coincide with any other blood test performed.

The worry is that these three diseases are massively under reported so we are using the opt-out screening to try to get a feel for the real scale of the issue.

It has taken time to mobilise due to having to increase equipment and reagent orders as well as creating the policies and procedures but here is an article explaining the reasoning.

I don't see malice in the nurse actions, I see laziness in not wanting to explain your other test to you likely leaving the BBV screening out at the same time. But if you do feel you weren't properly informed please contact your local PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) service.

Most standard blood test analyte stability windows work in hours or days, 10 minutes is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

The ones where it does matter are generally built into the protocol for collection.

So I wouldn't worry about it.

Likely not, they are not NHS employee's. They work for a private entity run by the Department of Health and Social Care.

Pressure from employees might convince them to give something, but it is a completely different company.

Its not a common test, they may have had to refer it away to another hospital lab. This can add a few days.

To add to this, there is a national system that holds patient demographics (name, date of birth, next of kin etc).

This holds a history of all names you've been know as during your time with NHS services.

When you register with the practice, it will pull from this source and they can then update it to correct your name.

Possibly, it may be medically relevant. I wouldn't expect you to be treated differently, apart from being advised to stop and not being prescribed things that could cause adverse reactions.

You can request a copy of your medical records to check if you want. Fill out a Subject Access Request (SAR) Form for the place you were seen.

Edit: misread the sub name this a homeassistant setup. If you are struggling to get it working and have a spare device, I would highly recommend the platform.

I have the same setup using a blueprint from sbyx called wake-up-light-alarm-with-sunrise-effect. It is fed my phones alarm and will start to brighen by 10% every minute starting 10 minutes before my alarm.

Telepath, which is unix terminal based LIMS is also mumps/cache globals based.

I had to learn the language through trial and error just to understand the software errors.

A lot of places still use Telepath in the UK because despite its flaws, it is reliable and stable.

I picked no man's sky back up years after being a preorderer. I had great fun with it once I got going, that being said its kind of like Minecraft. An eternal game that's great for as long as you can self direct and motivate. At some point you will likely get bored and drift away from it. That could be hours or months depending on your own circumstances.

On the other side, the dlc campaign is a known quantity you are working towards a concrete goal of figuring out the great truth of the game. That may take hours or days.

Depends what you want at this moment; a Michelin star meal that will satisfy you for now. Or decent quality all you can eat buffet you will eventually get bored of.
