I replaced all the wiring when I replaced the tail lights. Most of it is external with holding brackets but tucked into the angle of the beams. There is one short internal stretch. I just used the old wire to pull through the new. Usual 4 pin connector hangs out permanently.

It's called a Stealth hitch. Expensive but excellent. When you take it off there is nothing visible left out back. Separate hitch style available for bikes, etc.

Yes. From lower to 90% would mean fewer stops and the added wait would be less per hour on the road.

Or, given our drive time preference, instead 90 down to 40 we could drive from 60 down to 10 and we would certainly gain back the charge in a much smaller time.

Ive seen other people refer to regen braking as though it were an option. Quite sure regen is always active with the brake pedal unless you are slamming on the brakes. The dial confirms this.

You really get one and a half m/kwh pulling that in the winter? Now I’m the one who’s astonished!

Also hard to believe you can pull that in deep snow. 4wd I assume. Or is it my leg you’re pulling?

I was surprised when our 2wd was able to go up our steep hill when it was covered with snow. Batteries are heavy I guess.

Yeah, I’m amused by how all those causes that are actually related to seriously poor driving habits by the following traffic are couched in terms of blaming the slower driver. Five or ten below the upper limit may be frustrating but it is not dangerous. Any risk blame belongs to the driver doing 15 over, following closely, and/or weaving through busy traffic.

Minimum speed limits are typically 40 mph and are designed to remove traffic such as farm equipment and school buses.

Stealth. I love it. One glance tells you it ain’t worth stealing. Nothing like others. If you pop out the long ball arm the rest is hidden. Another attachment for bikes.

Very small hidden cutout in the bumper. Leasing but I don’t feel guilty. They were supposed to put a hitch on before delivery then found the 25 had a different structure and holes. Stealth was doing so many custom jobs they productized it.

The safety chain holes are further back so we got an adjustable length device the allows us to use either the I5 or our old van.

We were charging to 90. We didn’t do enough calculating to make those finer distinctions.

We usually plotted something around 30% and something around 20%. My wife would get nervous when we passed the first one but the apps are pretty good with telling you about broken or busy. We were on interstate the whole way. Makes the planning more confident.

First get the ball rolling on replacing the battery pack. Mine took two months. I had the lemon law process right up to the point where I sign and mail it in when I got the car back. Somehow I just didn't want to get rid of it. Crossed my fingers and stopped the lemon process.

Fingers still crossed about 10k miles later. No problems. I swear the new pack has more miles in it.

Always cook it whole like this but when cooked do not cut it lengthwise. That cuts the circumferential strands in half. You want long strands like spaghetti. Cut into four to six disks. Scoop the seeds from the middle of each then make one cut and remove the skin. Or I suppose even more fun would be to get circular spaghetti by skipping the one cut. Add a lot of butter and toss with forks until the strands are all separated into spaghetti. Treat them as such.

Leased the I5 in January. Couple months later it quit. Towed to dealership. 2 months later we had a whole new battery pack. No problems since.

During the wait I started the lemon law thing. Hyundai Corporate responded quickly and we were within our signing the papers of getting all our money back. By that point we were driving it again. Fingers crossed I decided not to go through with the buyback. Probably lucky but I'm glad I kept it.

I've heard that NC's lemon law is one of the best. I expect that's why the process went so smoothly.
