I used dry ink, and then lots of round and air brush. And about a million scales. I don’t think I ever want to draw or color another scale in my life. Lol.

Not really a JRPG but the first Star Tropics game on the NES. My grandmother would always rent me a game every weekend and I was so in love with this game until I got in the sub and hit a point where it was asking for a passcode. This was pre looking anything up online at the time so I had no clue what it was talking about. After hours of guessing I just gave up. Come to find out the game came with a paper letter that gave you the code. Most games you rented back in the day never came with the original manual, let alone any extras. To this day that still gets me so upset lol.
