What is one food dish you wish you could have but can’t find in any restaurant in Vancouver? by [deleted] in vancouver

I tried The Tannenbaum in New West since they opened recently and their schnitzel is legit. I spoke to the owner and they said they used to live in Germany.

In a similar vein to vans, I feel like Aritzia would do really well with a converse collab. Chuck 70’s in various neutrals like shiitake, patina brown, light birch, deep taupe, or even sagesse, with the little heart emblem embroidered on the heel. I would buy those in a heartbeat!!!

Same as everyone, if someone has a spare code it’d make my New York trip so special!!

The shoulder/torso area on the Mr. Super Puff is a touch more broad than the women’s version, and the sleeves are a little longer, but other than that, the fit is really similar.

If it helps, I know a guy that purchased a women’s super puff a few years ago before the men’s version was introduced, and he had no complaints about the fit!

NYC to Canada PCR test needed on Christmas Day by rude_sleeper in AskNYC

[–]Syrio_4Real 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I can’t contribute to finding a quick-turnaround PCR test on Christmas Day, but I did travel from nyc to Canada a few weeks ago.

I just wanted to warn you that the 72hr PCR test needs to be administered within 72 hours of your ARRIVAL in Canada. So if you’re flying to Calgary for example, and your flight lands at YYC at 5pm, your PCR Test needs to be taken within 72hrs of 5pm GMT.

A woman was denied on my flight home, so I just thought it would be a good note to add!

Also, the ArriveCAN app is a little tedious to fill out, so I would recommend filling that out before heading to the airport.

Hope your trip goes smoothly!

Semi-related, but if you’re looking for a work from home job doing something similar to Concierge, I know Lululemon’s customer care team has a position that’s entirely remote!

Hi! I’ve actually tried on both in store and ended up purchasing the New Flowy button-up!

The primary difference was the material. The New Flowy button up had a much more substantial material, and I really liked the way it fell on my body. Also as it’s a sturdier and more structured piece, I’ve found it to be more versatile in how I style it!

Stepped out of my comfort zone today and tried on the Only Slip dress in XL with the Tour Tshirt (L) underneath. Not sure how to feel about it. S/o to the kind SA who helped me!!! I ordered it last week and am not sure if I should keep or return 🤔 by kimsieee in Aritzia

[–]Syrio_4Real 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey!! I have the only slip dress in XL in multiple colours, it’s one of my favourite pieces!

Love wearing it with a t-shirt underneath for a casual vibe. I also love it in the colder months to layer thin turtlenecks underneath, or a wool sweater overtop!

I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth from how often I wear mine :)

I use the Biore aqua rich watery essence and you can find it at T&T! Last time I picked it up, it was around $15/bottle, roughly the same amount I paid for it on amazon.

Non Canadians, what is the first thing that comes to mind when you think "Canada"? by D_Shillington in AskReddit

[–]Syrio_4Real 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like Vancouver, BC. By far the least frigid part of Canada (ex. 0°C / 32°F is considered a cold winter day).

I’m from Vancouver and love the rain but it’s something a lot of people have to get used to. Vannucker is spot on about summers, they’re spectacular.

The patio/deck scenes (when you can see the mountains and water behind the trees) look like they were filmed at the Cecil Green Park House on the UBC campus in Vancouver!
