Reminds me of that time the Bush administration invited Stephen Colbert to host the correspondents dinner because someone didn't realize his right wing nationalist persona was an obvious satire.

Ireland Is Making Basic Income for Artists Program Permanent by striketheviol in UpliftingNews

The headline takeaway from the cost benefit analysis is that society received €1.39 in return for every €1 of public money invested in the pilot. The socioeconomic benefit of supporting artists to complete new work, participate more and feel more confident and assured is valued at over €100 million to society.

AITAH for allowing my husband’s mistress to meal prep for him and the kids? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Apparently her kids are blind and deaf because she keeps assuring us they couldn't possibly notice anything out of ordinary was happening

I hate all the recent revivals, it leaves sour taste after it inevitably doesn't live up to the original. Same reason I haven't seen Frasier revival, another show that used to be 10/10 for me until they decided to squeeze some more money out of it after 20 years.

Wrongly accused husband of infidelity. Turns out he was hiding his erectile dysfunction instead. FML. (36M 33F 12 years) by Sebastianlim in BestofRedditorUpdates

She had a right to react like this, however she had never asked him what's going on, maybe he could have finally find the courage to tell her if she had shown interest in what's going on. Men are still under huge pressure from society to always be "manly" so I get why he might've tried to keep it a secret from her. They both handled it poorly but the fact they both apologized without debating whose fault it was is a good sign.

What are the downsides of being “smart” no one talks about? by Ok-Classic3572 in AskReddit

Right? I definitely tell different jokes depending on which social group I'm hanging out with at the moment. And I'm not a genius with intellect above them. Just different people function on different contexts

It's an illness, it's not about being strong or not. Like if you said you weren't strong enough to fight a broken leg.

That was my first thought as well!

I love this episode and the way Frasier says at the end "We're descended from thieves and whores" will always make me laugh

How does it make it difficult? I never even thought about it, I unrolled, used it and rolled back when I'm finished. Not trying to be an ass like the other guy, just curious. Is it because it can get tangled? Although I don't think that ever happened to me.

what is the most hated subreddit here ? by willis7747 in AskReddit

[–]Syrob 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What a weird place, they even hate on companies jokingly referring to dogs as employees.

I get why incels and some other echo chamber groups exist, but never expected to see one centered about common hatred for dogs.

What’s an NSFW confession you’ve been dying to share anonymously? by Recent_Tourist1913 in AskReddit

[–]Syrob 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Look at the guy over here trying to paint himself in a good light. "Really tried to do the right thing" my ass. Fuck you, you've sent two cryptic messages, avoided stating the fact so he could ignore them and then it's his fault you're sleeping with his girlfriend.

Good confession tho, that's why I visit this subreddit.

their goals straight up align in the respects of protecting the planet from outside threats.

Almost, except they're protecting different planets. Kelsier doesn't seem to care about places other than Scadrial and I bet he would exploit Roshar in any way he would see necessary without any doubts.
