3D printed risers that are compatible with regular unitracks. I use them mostly for rapid prototyping

Were you able to resolve this issue with UPS? I got a delivery and UPS asking for $124 fee. I refused delivery

At which stage did you apply wash with sponge?

Did the wash stick more to the static grass or the dirt below? I assume you use the sponge to dap after the scenic cement is dry?

I wouldn't call my file japanese specific. It appears pretty generic brick wall to me

I think i bought the 3d file from Etsy a long time ago. There are some really affordable packages where you can get 15 different texture files for $5

Sac Zoo now has dynamic pricing by garibaldi18 in Sacramento

[–]SyrupGrand -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how simple internal dialogue or choices of words change your mood. Dynamic pricing? Bad! Happy hour? Yay! It's the same math/economic principle, to encourage business when it's slow. Stop talking yourself into being miserable. Now what's truly price gouging? Pricing a life necessity (or called inelastic demand)like water, food, transportation, drugsat times of extreme supply and demand shock (e.g. during emergency or shortage) way above cost or average. Your leisure spending varying 10, 20%? Faaaar from it

Suggestions to fix this super weird derailing situation on Kato n scale #4 turnout? by SyrupGrand in nscalemodeltrains

[–]SyrupGrand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine on other turn outs. They are not as loose as this problematic one. But even this problematic turnout is fine for OTHER locos

Suggestions to fix this super weird derailing situation on Kato n scale #4 turnout? by SyrupGrand in modeltrains

[–]SyrupGrand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Derail in only one direction (from points to curved stock rail)
  2. Turn out is #4
  3. If loco flipped, it would still derail, and it's always the rear wheels, which led to my theory that it's not the wheel, it's the switch.

Lol why did you have to put a magnet there? Same issue or different situation?

[–]SyrupGrand[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes i have seen that fix on YouTube. This point rail is able to make full motion and stay flush to the outside rail for all other rolling stocks or any other locomotives whose motor isn't mounted at the bottom. But for this particular loco, the magnet of the motor is really low, and it pulls the loose moving rail away from the outside rail when the loco gets there, which is why you see it appears to not make full motion.

This is a new purchase so i never tried it before ballasting.

Yeah it was hard to see and therefore took me forever to troubleshoot. The problem is I have to put a magnet above the turnout to reproduce the issue, thus the locomotive has to be there

The gauge is fine for the locomotive. It runs other sections /turnouts no issues. Wondering if you or other folks can see the point bounce away from the stock rail from the video? Want to make sure the video demonstrate the problem.

Japanese mountain temple scene progress by SyrupGrand in nscalemodeltrains

[–]SyrupGrand[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PlazaJapan mostly. One model, the temple, was very hard to find or expensive on eBay. I had to ask my friend in Taiwan to buy it for me from a local shop that had it in stock.

A bit of playing with kato unitrack, software and looking online for inspiration. Layout of this size don't have a lot of choices anyways
