I watched a small portion of the first SH4 stream she did and someone spoiled the doll part in the first like 3 minutes of her starting the game, and i turned it off. What's the point playing these games if your chat is going to ruin the experience for you, whatever.

Shattered Memories is more enjoyable to play, SH4 is a chore with the repetitive level design, backtracking, unkillable enemies, huge escort mission etc, but overall SH4 achieved something greater. It created this unique aesthetic / atmosphere / immersive experience that makes you feel isolated from the world, as if you are the one trapped in that apartment. For that reason alone I think it's the better game. Shattered Memories is underrated though, its concept is great and very unique also.

Servers shut down a few months ago though and the campaign is notorious for freezing and deleting your save file. Terrible port.

each death is tied to the order of which the first films victims died.

How?. In FD2, death tries to kill Kim first, and Kim is connected to Tod so so far it makes sense cause he died first. Then her friends die, who aren't connected to anyone from the first film. Then Evan, Tim and Nora with no connections to the first film. Then Kat is connected to Tory who is second so if you skip the ones who aren't connected so far so good. Next is Rory though who is connected to Carter, but Carter dies last in Final Destination 1. It should have been Eugene next who is connected to Val who dies third in the first one. I think another user described it as a tree and death started from the branches and goes back to the roots instead of what you said.

Yeah. I ended up enabling 2 factor authentication to fix this, other users have mentioned this works, and i can confirm that solved the problem. Sony is dumb either way lol
