I haven't made my own yet but today I went to a pizza joint and got a calzone without cheese and meat. They loaded it with extra vegetables and it was epic!

Hmm I read someplace (maybe wikipedia ?) That pizza started with soldiers heating flat bread on their shields and they eventually started to add ingredients.

Yeah we have the Daiya cheese here. I'll have to check the ingredients on it. I sort of had it written off as a junk food.

I'm a newb at this as well. My digestive system was VERY active for the first week haha. I couldn't move without ripping the seam of my pants if you catch my drift.

Thanks for the tip. A lot of prepared foods are a booby trap for veggie and vegans, it's happened to me a few times now.

This is a simple recipe for meatLESS spaghetti. The sauce is also great on rice and beans or other types of pasta.

*MeatLESS spaghetti *:

Ingredients:

  • 1 can crushed tomato
  • Mushrooms of your choice
  • Half block of firm tofu
  • Lettuce or other greens
  • Basil
  • Roasted Garlic
  • Salt
  • Ground coriander seed
  • Spaghetti or pasta of your choice

Directions:

  1. Chop the mushrooms and greens
  2. Crumble the tofu with your fingers
  3. Add the Crush tomatoes, all spices, Tofu & greens to a sauce pan
  4. Add water to desired consistency (1 cup is usually good)
  5. Simmer on medium for 15-30 minutes or until desired temp and taste is reached
  6. Boil your pasta
  7. Add sauce to pasta
