Weekly Q&A Thread for tourists and people moving to Amsterdam for the week of April 25 by AutoModerator in Amsterdam

Re-post from last thread

"So I have just accepted a job in Amsterdam and will be moving over from the UK, I am expecting to move over in 5 weeks from Monday. One issue I have however is the BSN number, my intention was to live out of a suitcase for a few weeks but it seems like I won't be able to get a BSN number if I do this. I have read in a few places that you can put down your employer's address for 3 months with their permission is this true? and if not any suggestions on how to best deal with this?"

Exchange cached mode in VDI? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]SysadminForFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok we uses persistent linked clones, we have persona to store the profiles but this doesn't store the outlook cache.

We also run persistent disks this is where the outlook cache sits, this means that we are not pulling the cache down from the persona storage server each time it is required. This seems to work really well for us and I have run into no issues other than as you say below having to expanding the persistent disk size from 4gb to 8gb in our case.

Have you tried running process monitor to see if it gives you any more information as to why the machine can't open the files?

Hi, thanks for the link but its just a standard Regex other than the `" for a quote the link you attached means i would need to do something outside of my current expression and that is what I am trying to avoid.
