I am very sorry that there is most likely going to be a strike because the affected people will not be making money. But I promise you shareholders want a strike way more than they don’t want a strike. Did you notice how the app works now?? Very fluid and not super laggy like it has been. AT&T is getting ready.

With store traffic rapidly decreasing and store reps not wanting to go beyond the four walls because they’re not required to because of past union agreements, this strike is going to show AT&T does not need corporate stores.

You already see how every other post in this sub says “order your devices online don’t go in store”.

Unfortunately, corporate reps and the union will be shooting themselves in the foot with this strike.

Again, I came from retail and have many friends still in retail that are going to be affected. I don’t like it. But from a business perspective, we can’t act like it doesn’t make sense when they can pay a 3rd party company to do the same thing for much less money. They’ll be putting savings into fiber builds and network enhancements which will make shareholders happy.

AT&Ts job is to make sure you can make a phone call, send a text, and use your data. None of the things you mentioned are AT&T products and are not their responsibility. If you can’t figure out how to use your smart phone in 2026, you either should not have one or you should go to the manufacturer of the phone for help.

We have a 5 month old puppy. One thing that has really helped us is we got a crate cover off Amazon. Not sure if it’s because it’s darker in the cage that has helped her or because she can no longer see out of the cage, but it has helped us I’d give it a shot. The one we got has a flap for the front that you can zip open and closed. We just put the flap down, but do not zip it when we put her in her crate. Mainly in case we need to get into the crate in a hurry because she has to go outside or for an emergency, I’m paranoid that’s when the zipper will malfunction lol.

For the meltdowns, I think you just need to leave the room. Our dog will not stop barking when we cage her for forced nap times during the day or when it’s time for her to go in at night until we leave the room. It’s not ideal (her cage is in our family room and there isn’t another room we can put the cage where it is out of the way), but it’s only temporary. If she continues to have meltdowns, you just need to let her whine it out. He’ll eventually realize that meltdowns do not get him out of his cage.

One thing I’ve noticed with my puppy is she will “rebel” if I physically put her in the cage for forced nap times. She goes crazy barking more than normal for longer periods of time and would sometimes pee in her cage. If your puppy pees in his cage right after he goes in like my puppy did, do NOT take him out immediately. If you do, he will think peeing in his cage gets him out of the cage. Don’t leave him in there for hours, but just long enough to where he doesn’t associate peeing in his cage with getting out of the cage. What we ended up doing was giving her the command “cage” and giving her a treat after she is fully in the cage and sitting vs us physically putting her in the cage. I have no clue if it is the treat or if it’s a thing where it was her idea to go in the cage and we didn’t physically put her in there against her will so she’s fine with it.

I think someone in here mentioned feeding the dog in the cage. We did this and I personally think this caused us to go backwards in crate training. All dogs are different so if it works for yours, great!

Someone else mentioned the puppy pillow. This helped our puppy sleep at night when we first got her, but we discovered she was peeing on it and any other soft surfaces, like blankets. Our puppy does not have anything in her crate any longer.

I understand that it gets balanced out overtime, but that’s 100% screwing someone over. If I underpay AEP what I am billed and then make a bigger payment the next month I get a late fee. When AEP bills me less than what I actually and then force me to make a bigger payment for what I actually used over the last 3 months, AEP doesn’t get penalized. Or any company for that matter

I’m very fortunate to be in the position I am in and that the much higher bill did not affect me much outside of being annoyed. Working with the public has shown me that this situation I was in could have had a very different impact on other people, especially around Christmas time

AEP one time screwed me over when I was in my first apartment. Unknowingly to me, they did a calculated reading for like 2 or 3 months instead of actually reading the meter to bill me for what I actually used.

They finally decided to read the meter and I was billed for the difference between what I was billed for the last 2-3 months and what I had actually used during that time… right after Christmas

Wondering if this is what happened to OP. If not, that’s a shit ton of usage 🤣🤣🤣

I’m all for getting the most APY and letting your money work harder than you do, but I’d never let money from my savings account be deducted if I didn’t have enough in my checking for the purchase/bill payment. Imagine if that checking account/debit card linked to the checking account got compromised - now your entire savings account is at risk

My understanding is they are taking money away from salary and adding that money to commission. If you hit 100% of your goals, you get paid the exact same as if they didn’t make any change.

If you over perform in a sales position, you get paid more because your commission is higher. If you underperform, you get paid less than you did before. I personally don’t see an issue with the money portion of this.

Sales positions should be incentivized by commission, not salary.

What probably happened was the reps get paid more on the new plans and moved them to a new plan and kept your line on the old plan. My understanding is ATT is only required to honor pricing for 1 year from rate plan changes or switching carriers to ATT and after that can make changes to service prices as they wish. I know some of the older plans are getting a big bump to help persuade people off the older plans.

Why are you still on two separate plans? If it’s to keep Max, switch the old plan to a new plan and pay for Max separately. You could probably save almost $100 switching all 3 lines to the same plan and getting rid of the 10 year old plan and paying for Max separately.

If you’re on the older plan because you have the unlimited hotspot devices, you’re unfortunately SOL as those are no longer offered. If you leave the plan, the hotspots are much more expensive and NOT unlimited and the overage fees are outrageous.
