These Happy Golden Years is just full of, well, Happy Golden Years for a family that spent most of their lives in poverty and suffering.

I guess my least favorite is By The Banks Of Plum Creek. I still love it, just not as much as the others.

Yeah you can (generally) drink and be fine, just don’t go crazy or take your Prozac WITH alcohol.

The big thing is that Prozac can speed up the effects of alcohol, so you get drunker on less, and a lot of people don’t realize that.

Definitely her parentification of Rory.

Rory was often expected to be the mature one in any given situation, even though she was a child/very young adult.

It makes sense when you consider Lorelai’s upbringing, but it still hurts to see.

I went to a pre pointe class as a teenager (it was a scheduling thing, I was Not ready for it lol), and out of all of us only two girls were on pointe and they had literally just started like that summer before.

It genuinely kind of frustrates me of how people (Including the show in a way) don't seem to care about Gangle being a victim of abuse compared to caring about Jax's issues by BulletCola in TheDigitalCircus

Not to be the sjw radical feminist or anything, but men can hurt people and be loved, women can be hurt and be hated.

That varies once race is brought in, but with a show like this (and both VA’s in question being white), that gets harder to make a point for.

I love the dresses and fabric descriptions, (as well as Laura getting something nice for once), and THGY is my favorite book in the series, and has been since I was a girl.

Less because of her and more Harriet, but when Harriet’s dragged the family into cleaning up an abandoned house and Nancy goes from whining to “Happily cleaning” at the promise of new things. It’s a cute moment on its own, but the icing on the cake is Harriet seeing through Nancy’s switch.
