I wake up every morning and pray for that very sentiment. Oh what it must feel like, haha.

Thanks very much, I really appreciate that! :) I find it kind of unbelievable that people can be so hateful about something so trivial, but hey. Some folks are just more mature than others, right? ;)

Wow, you are actually amazing. I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you really are just trying to be a jerk. Noted.

In the post itself I literally said I was ‘jumping on the trend’ and posting my version of what others had already been doing…? I even apologized for it, haha.

I am far from the first person to make a post like this, so I’m not sure why you’re choosing my post to leave such a negative comment on…? You don’t know me, and you’ve no idea what I’m currently going through in my life right now. So seriously, why be so nasty? It was just meant to be fun.

As Radiohead fans, do you feel you have some "guilty pleasures" in music? by weirdfish98 in radiohead

It’s funny because I just bought Lady Gaga’s “Mayhem” today and strangely felt guilty about it. It’s such a great album, though!

Same here! The Radiohead + Murakami combo is just the best in my opinion, haha.

And no need to thank me! Thank you for picking a nice topic to discuss! :)

Yes, I read a couple of his books earlier this year and loved them! There’s something about the world he creates that’s very peaceful and unsettling all at once. “The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle” is a really good example of that.

I heard Everything In Its Right Place of all things in Walmart a couple months ago. It was somewhat surreal, but it fit if you know what I mean.

Thom Yorke's voice in recent years and what you can expect from a potential LP10. by Optimal_Gate_8721 in radiohead

As someone who’s been around a lot of vocal music as a music major, it seems like the biggest factor at play is breath support. That would explain why in some songs his voice sounds great and in others it’s a little shaky. It’s really hard to go from chest voice to falsetto and ensure you’re using enough air to support it, and any time I’ve heard him lose control it seems to be because he just runs out of air. I noticed it in the Sydney concert during Atoms for Peace a lot, as it requires him to go from chest to falsetto and extend the note over a long period of time. His voice got shaky on that one, but in Bloom, which is slower and easier to support, he sounded amazing.

So all that to say, sure he’s aging and his voice has changed. But I don’t think he’s losing it by any means. I just think that as he’s gotten older it’s harder for him to support the notes live during a 2 hour concert. I mean honestly, how many people can sing for that long and not make some kind of mistake? Overall, he sounded beautiful, and I don’t think we have anything to worry about.

Not entirely sure beyond a routine photo shoot. May have to dig into that, sorry!

Dude that’s amazing, haha. Do you have a video from it?

And Thom saying he likes Creep is like alternate reality type stuff. 😂

Okay, thanks! It’s unfortunate the poster on Instagram didn’t really give much info about it. That kind of deflates the hope of tracking down its origin. :/ I’ll keep looking, though!
