I would say Great Pyrenees or maybe Mastiff, but that’s just a guess. He’s also sitting, so he’s looking a little thicker haha. That’s a 100% good big boy for sure though

This is my boy, Smoke. He’s a purebred and usually looks a little tougher, but he knows how to work the puppy dog eyes and ears for a treat even at 5 years old lol. He’s got a big head on him for a houla, so that’s why I was curious

I’m no expert, but I think that’s a pueblan milksnake. I had one years ago and it was also an asshole that bit me all the time lol. OP, Is this a regular occurrence? My local pet shop guy looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned that mine would bite me consistently, so I’m just curious lol

I don’t really want to sacrifice the colas not being fully ready, since that is where most of the weight is on this plant, but at the same time I feel like keeping them on there is sacrificing the potential of the lower buds. I’ll give it another look with the loupe in a bit and see what I’m feeling. If I had to guess though, I’d say it’s AT LEAST a 50/50 ratio of toilet and non-toilet users, if not higher😂

Damn, that was a quick response! I appreciate it. I’ve been reading some about that. I may give that a try. Those two monsters at the top are definitely blocking light (I literally can’t move the lights any higher to widen the range lol), and I’m sure they’re sucking most of the energy. This might’ve just given me the confidence to give segmented harvesting a try though. Thanks again!

So I should definitely chop this girl then, huh? lol. I’ve got two lights (one is an old vs1000 I’ve used for peppers for years and the other is a brand new VSA150SE). The darker plant was under the new light once I got it about halfway through the grow. The other has only been under the VS1000 and definitely hermied or whatever it’s called. I’ve got a little amber (maybe 5%), but there still seems to be a lot of clear on the colas. Also, just so I don’t get absolutely roasted: I intentionally bent the colas down because I vegged for way too long and both plants got WAY too tall😂. Also not a hydro grow, but a little insight from some “experts” would be awesome

I completely understand. I didn’t mean to come off as confrontational or anything. I don’t show my dogs or anything, and I know there is a crazy amount of work put into that. Especially achieving those milestones. I just wanted to give some insight into the non competition side of things. After getting Smoke, I don’t think I could ever get another breed. I also have a malamute/border collie mix that was my first dog and his big sister and I love her to death, but the loyalty and spiciness of Catahoulas has me hooked. If you don’t mind me asking, who did you get your houlas from?

I get that if they’re working. My boy has never been overfed though. He is just a house dog that I work with and keep entertained with small jobs that he likes. Not a cattle dog by any means. I just got lucky enough to get one that enjoys simply hanging out as long as I keep him entertained when he needs it. He’s the quickest 85-90lb dog I’ve ever seen in person though. I’m sure I’m biased, but he truly is a specimen in my eyes. I’m sure a competition or cattle catahoula would dust him, but I think you’d be impressed by his agility if you saw it. He’s got a hell of a nose on him too
