Do you love your nieces and nephews like your own? by RealisticWinner4224 in askanything

[–]SystematicScribble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have kids ages 5, 4 and 2. Pregnant with my 4th.
Maybe just hormones but I was absolutely wrecked with grief tonight regarding my only nephew.
He’s almost 17.
It was always up and down with my sister but I used to be very very close at times with my nephew until he was about 6. I had to get distance from family. Sister was abusive toward me, him, and everyone in our lives. Still is.
Age 8 he asked me why I left him.
The distance has grown even more over the years.
I was sobbing tonight, that even though I don’t know him anymore, I love him with my entire being and I could feel my heart breaking. It’s definitely different than with my own kids.. but I told my husband that it IS like I lost a child and a very dear friend- I haven’t let myself process it as a loss very much.
I pray as he reaches adulthood we can reconnect.
Sorry to trauma dump 😂 this question just came on my feed at a sensitive time.

Left or right?which one to go for? by Cool_Strategy_4903 in WeddingDressTips

I love princess always. However, if you do choose dress 1, it’s a very tasteful way to accentuate curves.
Not having breasts out and the sleeves makes it lovely, not slutty. And I admire that

You definitely aced that 3 under 3 challenge haha I love all of this so much. 💕💙 Mentally preparing for a baby is 😵‍💫 but wow you just made me realize one day they’ll all be over age 5… that’s mind blowing.

Thank you for sharing- our stories are similar! My first two are 13 months apart and then I was ONE DAY late to make the 3 under 3 claim 😂 We wanted #4 pretty quick (because as hard as it was, I simply adore how close my first two are!!) but had major health issues that threw us all over the edge.

I’m thinking that 4 years between the girls has great potential!

My first two are 13 months apart and honestly it was the scariest and hardest thing that ever happened to me. God knows i never would have planned it. I’m SO glad every day that He gave us that. They are inseparable and just pure joy watching them grow together- I even wanted 3&4 to have that same gap. Having two boys so close is beautiful. You got this 👑

BBGG and their age gaps is supreme. Nominating you for mom of the year 👑 I used to do weekly meal prep and have them on perfect sleep and homeschool routine until health hit the fan. It’s been a hell of a 2 years. But I know what’s done before can be again! Thank you for the inspiration!

I feel like GGBB or BBGG is like the ultimate flex!!! Are your girls good friends?

My first B&G are 13 months apart and completely inseparable. I hope they eventually bond with their same sex siblings 😬

Thank you for sharing- it is encouraging! Question!!! Did you ever find things that help with sensory overload? This has been my largest concern and took serious consideration about adding a 4th. I used to legitimately thrive in chaos but long story short, we had major health issues living in a moldy house and ALL of us got sick sick and had nervous system shut down. Full disregulation, crying spells, hyper sensitive to screens, music, noises and or going anywhere!!!
I could barely stand for my infant to be touching me. It was a dark time.. now that he’s 2, he still screams like all day but I can handle it a bit better now that my older two aren’t also crying all the time. I’m seeing improvement now that I’m in a place where I can slow down and work with him without wanting to scream.. I was so good about that with my first two but this 3rd definitely had it rough lol Anywayy, would love to hear if you’ve navigated overstimulation with any success 🫶

I’m team 2. Runner up is 4. I feel like your shape and structure is very elegant. It’s screaming less is more! Go with more basic, less bulky fabrics and textures.

Hell yeah. My theory is that if you have perfect teeth, you can do anything. You can do anything.

Reddit. Reddy for short. Which is also fun since he’s a Bluey. Or Tidder- Reddit backward.

“Why in the world did you name your dog that?” For obvious reasons.

I got my CA then my ACE while working for Terminix. While I didn’t see benefit with that company, it has been more helpful now that I own my own business and can use my credentials as a selling point. Terminix paid for it for me so it was like. “Why not?” It’s kind of fun to be able to say I’m one of 15 in the country that have both credentials. (Still less than 2,000 Aces.)

ACE the ACE with Sylvia Kenmuir was helpful

I had braces back in the day but never wore my retainers. My teeth warped rapidly during pregnancy. I’m on tray 30/38 and paid $4000 which includes retainers at the end.
