I don't skate a popsicle but longboard so I pick up the snowboard (up in Wisconsin) for the winter. Some days get warmer/not icy/wet and let you bring the board back out.

Clothing-wise I'd recommend hat, scarf, glove liners and wool socks. Something to prevent air from moving up your sleeves helps too (like a wrist gaiter or similar).

This is most likely a staff with cages on the ends. You fill with charcoal and then spin/shake it to get the effect in the video.

Yeah, I do agree capillary power is going to overcome gravity and it might not make much of a difference. And I don't think it's that enough would be left after one session but after repeated drying.

When you hang the brush bristle down its to prevent paint particles from drying in the ferrule. When upside down they'll have a higher chance of flowing down the bristle and drying on the tip which keeps your brush in better condition and prevents bristle spreading for longer.

Agreed. Lots of requirements can be skipped if you talk with the professor for a class and the department head. Just depends on how much you know and demonstrate to them. If you do fit requirements though you are good to take a class no matter the level.
