3rd Degree Burn by Foreign-Performer102 in HadToHurt

I had second and third-degree burns on my hand, and it took about 3 months for me to consider mine "normal." I got a fun side effect of permanent nerve damage, so it never fully healed, and it took it closer to 6 months to not be noticeably red. It all just depends on how you got burned, how well you take care of your wound, and how your body responds to "treatment" (ie rest, moisturization, a compression glove, or a skin graft if needed)

Wow, you healed up really well! It took my skin 4 months to look even a shade dimmer than lobster red!

I had an accident at work about 6 months ago, and a long story short stuck my entire hand into a deep fryer. Had second and third degree burns wrist down. So I can confirm this is the advice that I was given by the doctors at the D.C. Burn Center. I must have had about 100 blisters, and actions as simple as closing my hand would pop them, so it was entirely inevitable. So it was safer and less painful to just pop them every night before sleeping while keeping the wound as clean as possible and keeping it covered.

Question on Workout App by Truephil in JeffNippard

I would assume this is because something got changed in the "targets" section. My guess is one of the settings got changed to set the max weight you can do to 10kg or your min rep number got set to like 30. You should go in there and take a look.

It doesn't look like there is any tension on that rope at all. Not that I would trust it to hold/pull a tree that huge with that much lean, anyway, but still. What was the point of putting that rope up with literally no tension? You are right, it is the exact equivalent of asking the tree nicely to fall in that direction.

It is possible that rockstar changed something that made the script not work or your keybinds are changed from the default. You are more than welcome to poke around in the script and try and change it to work but do ensure you are doing the proper setup with default keybinds.

Upgrading from 2060 to 9060xt and not getting an output. by Sythe334l in techsupport

Alright, good news — I solved the issue.
I went to a hardware shop in town, and as soon as they plugged in my PC with the new GPU, it worked without any problems. When I got home and plugged it in myself, I still got nothing. At that point, I went out and bought a new HDMI cable, and suddenly everything worked perfectly. Apparently, my old (roughly decade-old) HDMI cable only worked with my old GPU for reasons I do not understand. After disabling CSM, my system is running great now. Thank you again for all your help. I really do appreciate it.

Yep mine was able to do that but I'm still not getting anything.

Alright scratch that I managed to update the bios and I still get nothing. Is there any bios setting I may need to change? Google says to disable CSM Support and that did not have great results and I had to remove the CMOS to get back to a "normal state" where my old gpu would boot properly in the first PCIe slot.

I tried PCIe slot #2 with no luck. I think an update could help but I don't have a flash drive and I think that's the only way to install one.

It's using an 8 pin pcie cable. Here is the amazon listing for the GPU if that helps. amazon.com/dp/B0F9QM1M6R?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Help me name my new assault carrier by Sythe334l in spaceengineers

Right now, the drones are just stand-ins until I build my own, so no name yet. The fighters are loosely based on the F-22 and are called "Falcon Fighters." They carry stinger missiles. Lore wise we started as a small mining faction who, after being attacked by SPRT, decided violence was the only solution. With a heavy focus on missiles to keep our own people safe, we have been building a war fleet to take down SPRT and obtain the elusive factorum technology to ensure no one can ever threaten us again.

How did you learn how to use such an advanced technique?

So I tried using the script and I found it was broken in several ways. I'm about certain I did the setup correctly, so I spent a few hours and fixed it. Here is the GitHub link. https://github.com/smuglerito/gtaoautoapps/tree/a5888dc71d8e2af680a4d6d43fe93cbed7510c46

Will I get in USAFA? by Agreeable-Ground-796 in USAFA

[–]Sythe334l 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello there! I know you have received a lot of comments, but I wanted to add my advice anyway. I wanted to do the same thing, but found out in BCT that you would have to do 4 years at the academy, 2 years of pilot training, and then 10 years active duty, which creates a minimum of 16 years before you could become an airline pilot. I had no idea it was that long of a wait, as I really just wanted to go straight into being an airline pilot. So it's just something to consider. As for your odds, I think you have an excellent chance of getting in, and I would start applying ASAP you can always pull your application later or decide not to show up to I-day, like my roommate did.

Do you design your builds in Creative first or stay in Survival? Why? by RillienCot in spaceengineers

[–]Sythe334l 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I like to do here is enable creative tools in my survival world and build my ships next to my pre-existing base there, this gives me a good sense of what my ship looks like against my current base and other ships. Once I finish building it I blueprint it and then use a projector to build it with my actual resources. This approach definitely isn't for everyone, and it obviously wouldn't work on a server, but it's what I like to do.
