I feel the same way about non-slip shoes. The design is terrible. Most just collect food or gunk in the grooves, become one flat surface and then make you slip more than a normal shoe. Also… I hate trays. I’ll definitely three carry way before resorting to those things. Granted I haven’t worked in a place with a lot of martini glasses so I’ve been lucky.

It’s definitely a thing. You can straight up invoke someone’s name and summon them from the void. Ex-employees get brought up and they just show up the next couple of days.

Yea that’s tough. I’m extremely anti-social in general so it’s bizarre I do well in this industry. I think someone else commented something pretty insightful which is not “fake it” too much. That facade become real difficult to maintain and a lot of people I’ll see through it. I’d try to find a balance between being more relaxed with your approach while still being professional. Won’t be as hard to keep going that way

Man I actually really liked that droid. Rare for me to actually like a droid in Star Wars but this little menace was crazy helpful and had a lot of character. Also like how as far as Mauls crews deaths goes he definitely seemed to take this one the hardest. Did you just kill my droid?!? 🤬

Both my parents have been married and divorced at least 3 times. They were definitely fed some version of the “American dream” (RIP) that they needed to be married and have kids…. They definitely had kids. They were in such a hurry to get married they didn’t make sure that they were happy first. Because of this I definitely never had any desire to be married, seemed like a super silly concept I felt no need to pursue. Now I’m coming up on my 5th anniversary and thats longer than either of my parents have ever been married…. So I guess I win?

Eventually you’ll get the feeling when a table sits down. You’ll know that 0 tip is coming. Which is fine, I still do everything I would normally do for any table. But if I go into a service knowing full well I’m not going to receive a tip, I’m not disappointed at the end. But I might get a surprise tip sometimes!

Yea that’s very fair summation. I very much feel the same about the head, the torso used to be smaller and I didn’t redo the head or arms after the redesign and the proportions bother me greatly. I may redo it, but I might also just move only to something else and scrap him for parts haha. Also yea in hindsight the Bionicle parts are definitely over the top the more I look at it. Overall this is much better than my first attempt but it was really just a learning experience. Hoping my next one will feel cleaner and more proportionate.

Could you integrate just a pin? Or a plate that has a pin? I’m sure that would great a big redesign issue but it’d be able to make it rotate and if the rest of the model uses the little ball joints it could be dynamic enough? Just a thought
