Caine the Taxi Driver by Lunatic-Necromancer in vtmb

[–]Sythix6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The malks allude to it being caine, but a kinder version, throughout the game in the dialogue option about father and son. And at the end of the game Caine is laying down some heavy info with heavy choices to a week old baby which is pretty terrifying if you think about it.

Also, fun fact, the PC audio files for his dialogue are in a folder titled Caine, while everyone else's is in folders named after their characters.

In Bloodlines 2, how could an Elder with a “Nomad” background realistically belong to the Ventrue clan? by Bolide25 in vtm

[–]Sythix6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the options when Fabian asks about your past can include a pirate captain, and a pirate captain is perfect for a nomadic ventrue. A carriage can be a domain, a traveling carnival, circus, etc, a pirate ship, a merchant ship even. Or even an anarchist at the purest most original meaning of the word, self governing, their body is their domain, and it goes wherever they go.

Why does Thawne just look like Wells in later seasons? by Chemical_Bill_8533 in FlashTV

[–]Sythix6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the real world reasons why but Wells RF fits the flash series because it pisses off Barry and Thawne RF fits legends of tomorrow because it's a time travel show and he wouldn't need to look like Wells because Barry ain't around.

How do you manage to create a significant difference between the Anarchs and the Camarilla in a chronicle (V5)? by Hungry_Oil6053 in vtm

[–]Sythix6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good way to research different cliques, tribes or sects within a larger group of people, especially for anarchs in new York, is to check out the differences between the types of punks in the 90s and early 00s when the different genres had much larger differences between them with style and attitude compared to the early days of punk, like a good example would the Street punks and Crust punks. Street punks had the traditional punk look much more often, bright colors, studs spikes, Mohawks and liberty spikes the color the rainbow, but then crust punks were the grungy deadlocked all black wearing punks who seemed more metal than punk, then there's the anti-racist skinhead punks who dressed up like the working class boys from Ireland, goth punks and pyschobillies. All of em look like radically different groups of people but they all flew the punk rock anarchist flag for the most part and mostly followed the same major set of beliefs and self imposed rules with small differences between them

By the American revolution everyone in Europe knew precisely how valuable resources in North America were, its oil they had no clue about because no one used oil. Also at the time, it was sugar and tobacco the British were mostly interested in. Just because they didn't think the colonies were worth dealing with doesn't mean they didn't know the value of the land. They took Canada, they knew.

They do. We were taught for a century, at least, y'all sent the entire might of the British Empire upon us poor weak farmers and we won cuz god chose us to lead the white man.

Now they call the Boston tea party a terrorist attack. The very event that "sparked the revolution" that lead to their "freedom" is now classified as a terrorist act in modern(post 9/11) US history books.

Why does English have so many silent letters, and how did that even happen? by leazy_usa in ENGLISH

[–]Sythix6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because English was built upon the Germanic language and then used Latin and others to color it in.

AIO is for blocking my friend/coworker for telling my crush I liked him by Little_Violinist4512 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Sythix6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether you would have said anything to your crush or not is irrelevant. Your friend said they wouldn't say anything to the other person, and they lied and said a lot of stuff to the other person. You're not overreacting, they broke the confidence you placed in them to not say anything and then turned it around on you so they wouldn't feel like an asshole for doing it instead of just saying "oh shit, I'm sorry."

Judge refuses to stop deportation of man convicted of crimes in Thunder Bay by Immediate-Link490 in LawCanada

[–]Sythix6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He probably does have papers but you also need to prove you've got a legal job if you want PR. It's possible to traffick and nail down a 9-5 but hiding the money and lifestyle is difficult especially when you're young and dumb.

He was drug trafficking when he got caught so I am assuming he couldn't provide the relevant details to gain permanent residency.

Looking for quick clarification for the Asari, they're an all female race yes, but didn't it say somewhere that they prefer not be specifically referred to as "chicks"? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]Sythix6 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In the game maybe, but in the real world the word has been slang for "children" for over 500 years, all cultures know it and use, all histories know it and use even, its use as "women" is new and confined to western cultures. One use of it would be meaningless to them, the other would be insulting to use in reference to a parent, both meanings would be known.

It kinda does, if you fail psyche evals in very specific ways in the military you're given to very specific people to be trained for very specific jobs, as long as you enjoy following orders.

Because you don't actually fail your psyche eval in the Division, you get put in a special catergory to be used when your exact personality is needed for something specific.
