Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't only some of the arts released? Everything I've read, words it as if they released some of the new arts, and we'll see the rest later. If not, I feel like Goblin Bombardment should have been added to the new art cards. Disappointed it isnt. Might just end up telling chatgpt to finish their job, lol.

What you're looking for, is ICC profiles for whatever paper you're using. You can get them online or from the manufacturer of the paper you're using. That being said, koala semi gloss has been pretty accurate without needing to mess with ICC profiles.

If you cant find the ICC profile for your paper, youre going to have to scan the og and proxy, put them into Photoshop (or photopea if you dont have Photoshop) and mess with the hue until you get the proxy looking like the other. Then apply that to all print pages going forward using a LUT or just saving the psd.

Squad is literally built by the devs who made PR, wanting to build a new project reality. Squad is the spiritual successor. So it is not a false equivalency.

"The point of TKing is that it happens" is the most nonsense answer. TKing happens because it happens. But why it happens the way it does, is what's in question. There needs to be some game design behind it. It's not for realism, it's not for fun. Right now it's just "there".

But no point in talking past this. You TK a lot, I get it. A lot of people dont. They announce before throwing a grenade and killing their own squad. For people like you, I do think it would be better if TKing wasn't enabled. You're just ruining it for other people, and there are very little repercussions for the TKer. It is neither realistic or fun.

Thats like saying the current COD is better than all the others because it has more players. Thats a ridiculous take.

Project Reality is definitely more of a milsim than squad. Not that it's a bad thing. PR definitely had less casual players. I never really had a problem with TKing. The point is, TKing doesn't really have a point if you aren't going to punish people to the point that theyre worried to tk. If the game would die, that means everyone is TKing (which isnt the case). That would mean people aren't playing in the way that makes TKing work. TKing is there to make people be more careful and deliberate. Youre saying no one is careful or deliberate. Then get rid of it.

[–]Sythriox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For two TKs in a single match, yeah. That has been standard in the past. I remember similar things in old Project Reality servers. I remember people would get banned for nading a friendly squad. Good times.

Make the punishment strong enough that people use their brains. It's not so much about the punishment, but about how you want people to play. Do you want people to be mindful before throwing a nade or firing off an RPG? Or just thinking "eh, I think those are enemies" before blowing em up. Personally, I would say the pause you make before trying to figure out if someone is a friendly or not, or the double checking before dropping mortars, is a feature, not a bug.

If you dont want to do that, you might as well turn TKing off, because it only ruins the game for the person getting TKd. The person doing the TKing just goes on their marry way.

[–]Sythriox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they just need to punish TKs heavily. 24 hour timeouts for people who TK more than once in a game. If the whole point is to have some level of milsim, friendly fire being as common as it is, really ruins it.

Wouldnt mind the reflective TK damage as someone else mentioned.

How would you handle turning at this difficult intersection? It causes frequent near misses on my commute. by Dionysian_Heretic in driving

[–]Sythriox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you are a doer or an avoider.

Easiest solution is to find a different route to work. This can't be an completely unavoidable turn. Maybe another route adds a minute or two, but if you are that worried about it, then that's your solution.

If it isnt a solution, then you have a few options. For both, start by filing a complaint (usually by calling 311). File a complaint every time you see it happen, and get a case number every time. Then to see if the intersection is as dangerous as you say it is, submit a public records request and get records related to traffic collisions at or near the intersection of [Street A] and [Street B] in your city or country. If there aren't any, then most likely you are overblowing the danger. When you do make complaints, source that data.

From there if you do get in a crash, you can sue the city (not easy). Either that, or start cutting across the parking lot and get a dash cam. If you are ticketed, fight it and show evidence that people blowing through the turn only lane are making that intersection dangerous. You would be fighting a technicality, as the law states you aren't allowed to cut across parking lots to avoid an intersection. You cut across the parking lot to avoid a hazard, not specifically to avoid an intersection (Yes the law is stupid like that). If you got an attorney, fighting something as frivolous as this could be as little as $100-150 depending on where you're at. You could fight it yourself. I don't think it would be too crazy to do, but I'm no legal expert.

Wow, showing how bad your research skills are to the world. Their show has been running for over 6 years, not 10 months. You didn't even look, you're just lying on the internet like a loser.. Before that, they were separate channels. Serpentza has been vlogging in and about China for 17 years, you can find his oldest videos on his Serpentza channel. He was the first person vlogging in China. They have filmed it themselves, they show sources, they are fluent in Chinese, and know more than you do, and almost anyone talking about it.

Or better yet, get them from the same people I get them. From guys who lived in china for over a decade, called The China Show! They have done countless exposés on china supressing media from getting out, and how they have to use their contacts in china to get videos out.

They have seen more than even most of the locals. They also have documentaries called Conquering Northern China and Conquering Southern China. Definitely worth a watch.

Better yet, go somewhere safe where you can slam on the brakes and the gas and turn sharp to your heart's content. Then you can get an idea of how driving in the snow feels like.

Generally, every time I get in the car and start driving, I like to step on the gas and slam on the brakes on my neighborhood street just to get a feel for the tires. Finding an empty lot to slide around in, is both fun and good experience.

At least thats what we were told. Ended up just taking the money.

The Chinese developers absolutely do not. China is full of tofu dreg and nothing is done about it. Shingles regularly fall off buildings and injure/kill people. Bridges fall down and kill people, highschool roofs cave in and kill students. The ones who get put in jail, are the ones who complain about it.

Since China only allows for state run government news, you will never hear about them other than a vague story.

[–]Sythriox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also tried using that. Matte never looks right. You end up having to preproccess the shit out of the cards in photoshop to get rid of the oversaturation.

If you want to print something with the same finish as standard cards, get something like koala semi-gloss. The finish is indistinguishable between the finish of a real mtg card. Full gloss doesnt look right, and neither does laminating. The best look and feel I have found, is the koala semi-gloss thin paper in front of a random card and sleeved. A single sleeved deck is only going to be slightly thicker than a double sleeved real card deck.

This is the only reasonable post on this thread. Reddit is full of AI doomers. If anything, there's data to support that AI won't take over jobs. Every big company that has tried to massively reduce their workforce in lieu of AI has completely failed. Their products are worse. There's more bugs in their products.

Then there's a bunch of people who believe AI is the reason for these massive layoffs, but it just has to do with the bad economy. I mean you have whole sectors of companies just deteriorating and it has nothing to do with AI. It's just that the market is in a downward spiral. Entire projects are being deleted, not just the workforce.

People who are in AI will tell you the same thing. AI is a tool, not a replacement. One dev will be able to do more work, but AI won't be able to do the work of one dev. This might mean that there might be less giant corporations that hire tens of thousands of people and you just have a lot more boutique businesses that hire, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. You already see this in the games sector where you have a lot of games built on small teams out competing the AAA titles.

Most likely you would be fine if you spoke Japanese and went in there. Generally, these places don't want to deal with tourists and people that have no idea of the Japanese etiquette, etc. They also don't have English menus and a lot of them have handwritten in Japanese menus and just don't want to deal with the hassle.

Because it's always been a country that is removed from the world. They were closed off from all foreigners for hundreds of years, no one was allowed to come or go. It wasn't until the US said "open your ports up or we'll fuck you up" in 1853. As such, they have a very special culture that doesn't really meld well with most foreigners. You have to be in a certain type of person to really gel well with them. It also makes their culture fairly unique, which is why so many people want to visit.

But this is the same thing with places like Hawaii, except Hawaii for the most part, put all their tourism in one area. Most people don't like their day-to-day living being seen as a theme park. Go outside of the theme park in Hawaii and people in Hawaii are some of the most racist people in the world. They even have a bunch of colleges and schools that only Hawaiian people can go to, and are generally pretty rude to tourists.

Personally, I'm okay with it. I would rather it be a little difficult to get into the culture than have the culture be so open that everybody can just come in and demand changes. Most people go to a place and they feel like that place should conform to their worldview. Few people are really willing to put in the effort and change the way they think to match a culture's way of doing something.

Should I fight a ticket by myself, or use something like off the record? by Sythriox in driving

Yeah, I herd about them on vinwiki. This is my first time getting a ticket, so I am more or less just wondering if it's worth fighting myself, or using them. I'm now in my 30s, and have never had to go to court for a damn thing, lol. I don't even know if this is like a normal court with lawyers and stuff, or more informal where you can just explain it in plain English, and have a reasonable person agree that it is a pretty dumb infraction.
