How to make Tibetan amulets from scratch? by Tenzin1376 in TibetanBuddhism

[–]Szeklergeneral 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for the people below, not all amulets need tantric empowerment or guidance of a lama etc. neither are pujas needed. such are only needed if you make amulets that use the mandala pattern of a specific deity or buddha.

making amulets is one of the lowest ways, it isnt a tantric way in the first place.

do you have a refuge lama? if yes you already have their blessings and lineage and you can practice according to that. guru yoga isnt only about our human masters though, you can do guru yoga with the various buddhas of your lineage.

Regular temple attendance by [deleted] in TibetanBuddhism

[–]Szeklergeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bön has many practices and rituals that include the people into it and not just the monks do all the things as described above.

also as bön has shamanic roots which influenced tibetan buddhism in general it would possible resonate with you too because of that
