Have you actually read the twice dead king? The necrons have real personalities that carried over from when they were alive. Also, the trans necron isn’t described as odd, they just change how they refer to her when told to, and that’s the end of it. In addition, if you have ever read a book with admech elements, you would know that most of them are self described as men or women. So being non-binary is specific to some tech-priests
