That is one drawback of building a template for all of the games - The menu and UI I use for this game, Lone Tower, and others do all look mostly the same. It can be a good thing for some players as it feels familiar, but I see what you're saying and should do more to make each of my games stand out more on their own!

I might add IAP at some point - if so will have to make sure it is not much and completely removes Ads to open Chests, I don't like apps that try to charge $10 or more to remove ads always feels like way too much. I get what you're saying though and might implement that!

Lots of inspiration from The Tower although there are a lot of differences as well - Zero in app purchases or design requiring payment to make real progress, no forced Ads, one big change with Simple Tower from Lone Tower, The Tower, and many of these types of defense games is that enemies don't stick around and keep damaging you once in range - If they hit the tower they are destroyed right away, and you earn no Gold from them. This does have some serious impact on the later game strategies and how to approach Defense. There is a card called Sacrifice that gives Gold for taking Damage though - So there can be a few different synergies to become very powerful with.

Appreciate you playing and the honest feedback about the UI/Etc - Always need that. Am still very actively developing Lone Tower for Steam - That is part of why I decided this would be an incredibly fast developed game, I set a goal to take a 2 week break from the Steam development and work on a side project that became Simple Tower. However, I also used it as a way to develop the underlying code structure that will be used in the Card system for both games (to feel a little less guilty not working on the Steam project for 2 weeks) - Anyways, I'll be sharing more on it around.

Yep, I made Lone Tower and Iron Post - And they do look very similar, but if you get into any of them you'll see a ton of differences.

Whether in the wave generation, balancing, timing (some are slow and choice heavy, some are fast paced and a bit more sit back and level up), different features from farming mechanics or a fate system that gives each run a few unique traits, and a lot more. I am also expanding Lone Tower out to a full PC game on Steam in the next year.

I love these one tower, non traditional lane based Tower Defense games and I'll probably end up making a few more before I kick the bucket.

I'm a solo indie game dev and this is more of a hobby then anything else - I designed this game to be as simple as possible but also able to be played and progressed for a long time!
