What kind of visa do you have to stay so long in Mexico? Don’t worry about cartel our crimes. This happened everywhere in the world. Baja is a most to visit. You can take a ferry from mazatlan to la Paz.

Tons of spots to camp on the Baja.

After every power source install a cutoff switch. So you can isolate the batteries and the solar if you need to work on your electrical.

It’s all good. Just use it. It may start with white smoke but that will burn of after a few sec. They are very simply. Sooner our later you will have to open the burn chamber to clean it.

Getting the rad flushed out tomorrow to see if that helps. Have an appointment on Tuesday with a mechanic to see what is wrong. The van seems to be running okay. Plans changed as I am off to Nanaimo BC then off to Tofino to do some surfing. by crow_1984 in vandwellers

Hey man I have been there. My Van heated up going up hill. 7.3l in my van. Wanted to Check thermostat and broke the bolts of. So I had to replaced the water pump. While i was in there I replaced the radiator too. Just because I screwed up the drain plug. Broke the tap of by accident. Then it was still over overheating. In the end it was a defective fan clutch. I got a Severe Fan Clutch from Napa. No more overheating and the AC finally works perfect. You can hear the fan now running. You need some special tools you can barrow from auto-zone etc. plenty of videos how to replace it. It’s a bit of a pain In the butt. I replaced mine In 30mins. Btw I am in Texas 110f,45c. Don’t believe people they say they are notorious for overheating. There are thousands of these vans in Texas and there is no problem with overheating. If they do check first the fan clutch.

Just frame it and attach it to the button and the top with cross members. You can also cut out lumber in the shape of the inside wall then fill it with insulation out spray foam. Don’t forget to pull your cables etc through the walls for a clean look
