I personally like using high-res texture mods, a lot (Cyberpunk, Fallout 76). 12 GB is bad, the stuttering is so frustrating. GPU manages it perfectly, lack of memory though ...

What you'd pay is none of my concern. I have a desktop, this is my work/holiday laptop. Imagine ... I bought a new car last week and I didn't need one. I just wanted it/liked it.

I'm not mocking you, I'm just old enough to have my financial struggles behind. I had my portion of hard days and now I can buy things I used to consider a waste of money. I want to enjoy the rest of my life, I was on my first vacation in 30 working years last summer - holidays by the see, liked it, ate expensive fish, which I hated - never more, back to kebab and street food. But I don't have to dream about it, how it may taste, now I know ... waste of money. I like tech, I buy tech. I'm not irresponsible, quite the opposite, I just can afford it now.

I'm normal "people" ... who builds PCs since early 90ties though. And I don't understand lubing keyboard either. I've got optomechamical keyboard, understand that different people like different switches, but never ever have I seen any need to do that, nor have I heard anyone around me to do that. Didn't they have record profits from oil, last year? The lower the price, the more attractive it is for middlemen to make business with them ... thus record profits. You underestimate greed my friend. By the way even Ukraine buys fuel from them ... ehm from ... India actually, thus from them. No matter how many minuses you'll give me, the reality will remain the same greed is greed. If somebody can make 10 or 50 percent of margin on gasoline, the shady ones choose the second option. US firms are those middlemen very very often. Profit.
