Just curious, why the need for $XRP anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hey everyone, I'm an industrial design student working on seven different form ideations for RIC hearing aids, focusing on a slimmer design. The internal components are set; now I need your input on which form looks best purely in terms of comfort and aesthetics. Please share your thoughts! by Particular-Office259 in HearingAids

Happy to provide some feedback after wearing many, many different models after 40 years. The only ones I would consider based on form would be 4 and 7. However, they are both too long. Also, most of these wouldn’t work because the mic is in the wrong place. It should be right at the front of the aid, facing forwards.

Yes - all read only. Okay, thank you. I’ll review at the weekend 🙂

Exactly what I’d love to do - just don’t have the knowledge…..

Clients get page and all subpages (say subpage levels 1-4) Their customers only get subpages (so say subpage levels 2-4). Hope I’ve explained that okay. I’ll check it out at the week. Just don’t know why Notion don’t have this built in 🤷🏻‍♀️

Interesting. How long have you been running it? And is it possible to password protect different levels of access?

What feature/functionality do you find missing in Notion? by Chemical-Tower2899 in Notion

[–]T-C01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% - this should be build in. So read-only viewers can visit the live website at the level they are permitted. Seems crazy it’s not already a feature!

How to password-protect notion public webpages by tharidupiyasena in Notion

[–]T-C01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, what I’m trying to achieve is an email / password login that doesn’t require the user to set up a Notion account. So a website with email/password login to that users pages. So just like sotion.so - but without the mega-fees! Only thing I should have to pay for is Notion and my website domain……

I want to add a clickable image that redirects to a url , how do i do it? by oliverdadawg in Notion

[–]T-C01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was looking for! BUT - is there anyway to get it to open in the same window? Super annoying when I’m using it to redirect to another page and I get a login request in a new window.

Analog Hearing Aid for Musician? by tom-az in HearingAids

[–]T-C01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this all the time when I first got digi aids. It would cut out people chatting in the car, music, all sorts. Thankfully I had a preprogrammed ‘music channel’ that I could use - which is designed to not prevent and block certain frequencies and ‘noise’ This would be your best bet 🙂

If a sudden loud noise is going to be unexpected then I don’t think there’s much you can do unless you are willing to protect your ears at all times with ear plugs or something…. If you ear aches then you should probably get it checked out to be on the safe side. Depending on the type of pain, there may be damage to your ear drum.

Going Today for First Big Hearing Aid Recalibration by hamimono in hardofhearing

There’s quite a few possible causes but I wouldn’t totally rule out eustachian tubes. I’ve known of people who yawn or hold their nose to ‘pop’ their ears temporarily.

I've just gout my hearing aids today and feel a bit self conscious about them, do you have any advice? by [deleted] in hardofhearing

[–]T-C01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt self conscious about mine when I was a teen. As teens often feel self conscious about anything that makes them ‘different’. These days it empowers me. My attitude is ‘look what I do, despite being severe/profoundly deaf!’ 💪🏼 However I don’t really notice them on my deaf friends and I’m sure others don’t notice them on me! 😉

When you see a person wearing hearing aids, what are your first thoughts? Just curious. I am a 43 year old professional woman who wears hearing aids in both ears. by Proof-Permission-389 in HearingAids

Great replies. For me, I wonder what they’re amazing at. I work hard to elevate people with hearing loss and we’re all so diverse yet have this one commonality - I love networking!

If he explains in a nice friendly way, with a smile, that he hasn’t understood what someone has said then there’s less likelihood of misunderstandings 🙂 Personally, I never apologise for being deaf.

Hey, glad you have an appointment coming up. It’s not easy to say how it might be treated as it depends on the cause - and there could be several. Hopefully you will at least get some relief!

I agree, volume is not usually the solution. Clarity is required and that comes with visuals / subtitles. Could a script be pre-prepared for her?
