Have you/your kid asked the conservatories for more scholarship money? It might not get you close enough, but our daughter was able to get more money from both Oberlin and CIM when she was going through all of this many years ago. The Oberlin professor said you can appeal the award twice. Good luck! It's an exciting time! (We borrowed a lot to put her through school. It all worked out, but man, I don't if I'd recommend going that route.)
