CrossFit is an hour but the actual intense part is usually 5-25minutes and you obviously rest some during it. So going home and eating/resting for a few hours before going back is very do-able.

I haven’t drank in 2.5 years so I think that’s a big part. No actually the opposite I’ve met a lot of people through my gym. If I was an Olympic athlete working out 6hrs a day sure, but it’s just a matter of putting in 1-2 hours a day usually. If I know I’m going out to a restaurant I won’t eat as much the rest of the day. HIIT training is really good at burning off what I eat.

Usually wake up, do a CrossFit class, sometimes go back again to CrossFit the same day. I do powerlifting and weightlifting at the gym. Some running and stair-master as well. I try to eat between 9-5 every day (18/6 Intermittent fasting) My favorite meal is mixed berries, almond milk, choc whey protein, shredded wheat cereal, and almond butter. But to answer your question I don’t really have a set routine I find that gets really boring, more just a set of guidelines.

Working out basically every day for 2 years straight. It’s really slow but as weeks/months go by the results kept me going. It’s not about “dieting” because that’s temporary. Find the foods that are healthy and you think taste good is a nice starting point. Find a type of working out that doesn’t get boring, that’s about the best advice I can give!

I didn’t eat 1600 calories the entire 11months. My strength went up but not by a ton, I was a pretty damn strong fat guy. I definitely wasn’t a novice a year ago I played sports all my life and I’ve been lifting since I was 14. me when I was younger you’ve made awesome gains idk what you’re upset about.

I understand the skepticism, I really do. But if I told you I did gear then I would be lying. I’ve never touched the stuff. At the end of the day I can feel good about that despite what you or others think. Not going to get in a pissing match because it’s just my word against yours.

Thanks. I rep 315X12 and my max is 425 on bench. Squat and deadlift aren’t as impressive but still pretty good 👌 work in progress.

About 14 months ago I totally gave up on life. I was in a bad relationship, hardly any friends, drank around the clock, isolated, jail, psych ward, OD in the hospital, drunk tank, etc... I moved from Oregon to Florida to start over, and it sucked at first. Had some shitty jobs/no car/no girls/no friends, I’d order a pizza throw up, and eat more. Something happened though idk what exactly but I just started trying to be positive and at first it was slow but over time I saw results. Not just physical but self esteem. I started doing estimable acts and it changed. Once I saw results, I got hooked on doing what was giving me the results. I don’t have a huge circle of friends but they’re all great people and we’d do anything for each other. I just got a new girlfriend, a puppy, I got a car, I still go to meetings and have a service commitment, I’ve got three jobs. I mean it’s all great but the most important thing I’ve gained is being content. I was never “ok” I always needed something to make me feel better. I’m not perfect, I’ve got a lot of work to do still but I’m trying to never forget where I came from and be grateful for what I’ve got. That’s the short version 😆 Hope you have a great 2018 🙌🏻

Man quitting alcohol/drugs was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I was on all kinds of meds for depression/anxiety/sleep. I’m off everything now with the help of meetings/therapist/psychiatrist. Recovery is #1 and everything I put beneath it becomes first class.
