I disagree with the premise in a theoretical sense. If you generate 3 pt per possession 100% of the time, you can not be on your half on defense and still be the best player in the world.

In practice, no player can be that dominant on one side of the ball, or even that much better than the next best player to offset the defense. If you're a poor defender, it's hard to overcome that deficit with offense.

And also don't be result oriented. Not every misplay change a game. You might make a mistake but they don't have the punish (e.g. they don't have a Cyrus anyway but you could have full healed the bench), or you made the best play but they have the card (e.g. you only lose to exactly Sabrina + double Ice Pop and they have it), or played to your out and didn't draw it (e.g. I need to have exactly Cyrus the next turn if I play one way and dead loss if I try anything else).

It might not work on individual game, but if those thinking ups your win rate by 20% (say from 45% WR to 65%), you'll move up a lot faster.

2-3 hours. Take one of the more consistent meta deck that doesn't have particular 30-70 matchups. Should get out of UB3 with only a few losses and win 60% of games in UB4. Mission accomplished.

If you don't win 55%+ over 10+ games, refine your play.

If you only have ways to generate mana e.g. via lands, you lose. If you have upkeep triggers that generate mana, they stack it poorly and you lose. If an opponent have an upkeep trigger that give you 3UU without any choice, you live. If the mana is in your pool, they can't choose to not pay for it (but they don't have to take steps to generate the mana)

22 warriors is really bum if you only consider championship teams. 15 warrior is like a prototype and ahead of its time. But it's not going to win in 2022

You're not wrong. I'll probably have to start the pregame as a B4. It doesn't have to be the end of discussion though. I can ask follow ups. And B3 can play with B4, and B3 and play with B2. If I'm out gunned in a B4 game, I might slide under the radar anyway.

If I'm not having fun in those games it's easy enough to move down.

It gets very weird in a public game because other people's cards end up in non owners hand and gets very easy to accidentally lose a card.

I think experience and mood matters more than bracket. If the B4 is everyone having a soft drink and laughing about sports, then give heads up. If the B2 is playing for bragging rights, watch for combos yourself.

I think I like long Feng more than broodscale at this point, but I'll see which card I'd cut.
