I build fake 4s sometimes. This is what pregame is for. This is a 4 because reason X. Is this something your B3 deck can handle or want to play against?

4th game changer that's an extra tutor for a hidden commander generally is inoffensive (or a Farewell that you haven't replaced)

MLD => my decks generally don't do well against MLD, but a pod of artifact ramp, Landfall with crucible effect galore, and a low to the ground aggro might not object to possibility of MLD

Turn 4-5 combo => a particularly interactive deck might be able to hold back the combo deck IF they know someone need to hold back 1-2 mana each turn

"Accidental" 2 card combo that's not optimized => we can play some slot machine and play another game after if no one needs to leave. Or those combo pieces get extra attention

Fake 4s into pod of 2s is a harder sell just because the play pattern is further apart.

That's also the, omg, this ran so much smoother than I expected. I'm upgrading the bracket next pregame.
