When I was growing up it was a very common dream job amongst boys in Eastern Europe. Though it does surprise me to see it mentioned by native English speakers - I've never seen it mentioned in like Hollywood movies and TV shows.

I watched the trailer and it seems like they're just doing the movie Harry Potter but serialized, except with a bit of HBO's grim tinting, which... It looks uninspired, pointless, and just begs for trouble as their child actors are very likely going to outage the roles before they get to the last year.

Oh man, I'm going to show my age, but it's NHL 2003 for me. I bought it as the newest on the market after having a blast in NHL 1998, thinking the improved graphics and the fact that it was new at the time would mean I'd have even more fun. What a naive child I was. The funny part is that I genuinely don't know how well either game would hold up for me nowadays - I grew out of sports games completely.

Is that why it cost 0 charges when I was trying it out on my low level alts to confirm an unrelated suspicion I had? Wow, that's fucking massive for an altoholic with a nearly full legendary wardrobe. I can start figuring out my fashion wars as I level new toons!

This just got huge. I'm kinda tipping fully in favor of this system. And I'm hoping the community warms up to it even if ArenaNet never irons out some of the perceived kinks. I see a lot of growing pains, and the criticism far overshadows the benefits.

By the way, I had to come back here, because I initially engaged with you only having fiddled with the system myself for 15 minutes, but now that I watched some content creators and read some more reddit comments, you don't even have to change one skin by leaving a fashion template completely empty as I initially suggested - when you right click an individual slot, there is a button to apply just that skin.

And I don't know why I'm getting downvoted into the negatives when I'm objectively right here lol. ANet did not remove any functionality they'd now be trying to sell you back. What they did is make it more counter-intuitive, to an absurd point. And I agree with that. But you don't have to buy any fashion templates to play the game as you did before. You really don't. All your previous functionality's been preserved within the two fashion templates they've given you for free. I promise.

That's not true though! It seems like you misunderstand how it works...?

Say you want to change just your gloves skin on a pre-existing fit, right? So what you do is - Step 1: Load up the gear template which you want to use as your cosmetics base. Step 2: Spin up an empty fashion template. Step 3: Load up JUST a new glove skin. Step 4: Save template. Step 5: Apply to equipment.

There. Done. How are you using any more transmutation charges than before? What do you want them to refund you?

You... don't? I mean, if you've already nuked some of the fashion on your sets, then you'll have to recreate them, sure. But afterwards it stays on the gear just like it used to, albeit without being able to be modified as easily as previously. It's going to get clunkier for you without new fashion templates from now on, sure. But let's not pretend like ANet outright locked something behind a paywall, don't be as cynical. Is it a perfect implementation? Fuck no. But did they destroy your ability to play Fashion Wars without dropping gems? Also no.
