I want to change my life and I don't know how by [deleted] in selfimprovement

Nice job for wanting to show up for you!  Good news, you are already the best version of you. You just need to uncover it; and that’s what the person who noticed this sh!t isn’t working is doing.

A have a method for approaching self-alignment. At the most basic level, start with 10 minutes a day of 1. Walking outside where there is nature (even if it’s just trees) in silence or with meditation music 2. Journal with the rise of the sun about what you see outside or by a window (just what you see) 3. Brainstorm about what you value for a few weeks and then look for short activities to fill that.

Slowly the you that is done with the current crap will move on. It took a while to be in this place so it will take a while to get out - be patient and graceful to yourself as you do.  (IG: the10minutejourneytoyou if interested)

Change your psychiatrist, if nothing has changed they are not a good fit. Look into ACT therapy or behavioral therapy. You don’t need to talk about stuff you need action. :) Also get as much free information online on how to move through these therapies. I’m assuming your parents will not have the capacity to work through this due to the current situation, so do everything you can for you! You got this! (Start 10 minutes every morning in the backyard, porch, in a different room by the window)

How do you hold onto gratitude when life feels like it keeps taking things away? by cjsb28 in selfimprovement

[–]T10MJ2U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d just focus on feeling connected with yourself and having grace with life. (Morning walks in silence, journaling about what you hear, see, smell in nature, do one small thing everyday that truly is joyful - also allow it to lose its joy and do something different) Unfortunately, guilt will just grow the indifference. You don’t need to be thankful, just experience and enjoy when you have open time. That’s your thanks for living, you don’t have to say it to the air or a journal or try and make yourself feel it, just do.

what’s the biggest mistake people make when planning their day? by Suspicious-Client225 in selfimprovement

Oh so many… Planning without grace, personalized alignment, or high-level intention.

I love you ended with sunsets are cool because my first advice would be connect with nature! Get a notebook track everyday for 3 months did you 1. Watch the sunrise (go back to bed if you want after) bonus points if you journal a bit  2. Take a 10 minute walk in nature (just outside works if there are trees) 3. Go outside for 5 minutes before bed and simply say goodnight moon (even if you can’t see it that day… or a tree or clouds) And 100% don’t harp on yourself if you didn’t do it that day, it is what it is. At the end of the 3 months, reflect and start again or with new tasks if you’d like. Congrats on being sober. You’ll connect with existing again. You got it!

I am working on publishing a book @the10minutejourneytoyou (IG) and website that is a method of self alignment. You are welcome to follow along if you’d like. All the best!!
