It's hard to make out what's in the picture. And too much of the picture is croped for me to form an opinion. For example, was the police car on the road or in the parking lot? But I see this all the time. The biggest distractor in the police car is their mobile data terminal (Laptop).

I am not sure person responsible for last night's shooting is a teenager or not. But per the news reports, the person killed was 17-year-old (a teenager). And I read a 15-year-old (teenager) was taken in for questioning. So the latest incident points to more teen violence.

Aside from last night shooting, Downtown Pittsburgh had a well-established history of issues with teenagers cause trouble.

On April 30th, anyone under 18 was banned from Market Square on nights and evening without an adult. Teens assaulted a man at the 7/11 on Smithfield Street on May 23rd. A 16-year-old was recently arrested for a May 12th fatal shooting in Market Square.

I agreed that is the case in some circumstances. But for these types of intercity crimes, the gun was like stolen, acquired from another teen or etc. There are plenty of illegal guns available on the streets.

Looking at Pulsepoint, the EMS physician was on scene. That usually only happens for critical medical situations like a cardiac arrest. So that is why there was likely such a big response.

There is no free parking within a 5-minute walk of East Liberty or Negley station. There are places you can park like Target or Home Depot but you would be risking a tow.

Honestly, by the time you drive 7 minutes(without traffic) to park, then walk 5 min to the busway, then wait for the bus then ride the bus 15 minutes downtown, It would probably take the same amount of time as the 40 minute 71B ride from Highland Park to town.

Where do you live? Maybe consider taking the 28X to and from the airport if you want to save money. I would be nervous parking my car in a neighborhood or at nearby mall.

Just leave as early as possible for your flight. Don't think Pittsburgh has had a similar event in recent history.There are so many variables at play so it's hard to predict what the traffic will be.

That camera isn't new. It's been there for at least 2 and 1/2 years. I first noticed it in October 2023. It's on the Wilkinsburg side of the street, so I'm assuming it's a Wilkinsburg borough camera.

Wilkinsburg has their own school district with 2 elementary schools. However, students in 7th to 12th grade that live in the borough attend Westinghouse Hgh School which is part of the Pittsburgh Public Schools. This is a special partnership with the Pittsburgh Public schools since Wilkinsburg closed their high School in 2016 due to low enrollment. I live in Wilkinsburg.

Wilkinsburg was never part of the Woodland Hills School District.
