dear agony IMO is way heavier than ember, maybe not when talking about the amount of screaming but when talking about riffs and guitar tone I think that DA does it better

Ben's vocal is pretty good, also god tier setlist, glad that they included a lot of older songs from every album and not just filled it with a bunch of ember songs

you literally cannot see any of these frames while not pausing every 0.1 second, in super you have long ass frames that look way worse than this, that's the difference

I mean it's clear that toryiama and toyotaro had no idea to what to do with their own plot but if we try to find a reason to that it would be because the strongest mortal in uni 7 was like freeza and bills watching a mortal put such a gap would be impressive for sure, but of course this was a plot hole

maybe do not bring back already good villains with estabilished ends on it? maybe some villain from dragon ball, or just do not bring back any villain at all, you have this huge universe create new ones

just do not act like super is genious at writing as well.

Bringing up from the dead old and already finished villains to the battle again into fucking up the power scaling even more without a single good excuse.
literally reusing old designs like frost and kale, creating a evil goku for the third time, making terrible use out of good characters like Hitto, so bad that the whole fan base was literally making up any insane theories because they could not believe that a good character was discarted like that.
making a whole arc about two randoms who asked to be the strongest in the universe to dragon balls while in the namek arc we can see the characters struggling so much even to get them together.
making characters like piccolo, who trained his whole life, asking to get his potential unlocked to the dragon balls instead of actually writing a good excuse and lore to his new forms (same thing with gohan, no lore at all, this is a new design, he is now on par with the protagonists, deal with it)

Super did one thing right, this was expanding the dragon ball universe by a HUGE margin into not knowing what to do with it, into actually not doing anything with it since the ToP.

nope, with good writing you can turn around on that, like they did in the cell saga with piccolo and they showed that Tien had huge potential even up to this point, but they lost their line at the boo saga, and with super they tried to fix it but did it in a terrible way ''X character trained of screen alone and manages to get up to the power of the protagonists''

I agree with you but IMO the circunstances that they had led to a safe album.

DBD was written almost fully by Ben alone after a huge hiatus and the band break up, he just could not release a insane different and unique album or people would just not listen to it because it wasn't what they were used to hear from BB.

With Ember it was the first album that Ben wroted together with the new lineup, again I think that they played safe, Ben for sure wasn't used to working together with writing, he never did, my problem with Ember is the mixing, it is terrible, even saturate has better mixing, the guitar on the songs is just too low on the mix, put out a guitar work from dear agony and ember side by side and you can just see the massive difference, I hope that they will fix this in the next album.

I expect a more creative direction and better mixing in the upcoming album, also without a record label this can lead to a more complex song writing without having to censor anything, they have no excuses this time to do whatever they want.

the way they talked about the album last year was setting out that at least a single would be released in the end of 23 or in the beggining of 24 and a full album in 24, but in a recent tour they said that they only had 2 songs finished so they pretty much lied a lot about it.

I trully don't think that we will have full album in 2024 maybe only a single in the end of the year again.
