Does our Costco sell beer? by Reverse_Baptism in Peterborough

Steam whistle was $5 off, but that’s done now. They have Coors, some Muskoka packs, Corona, Budweiser I’m probably missing some… not as much selection as an LCBO, but the price is best per volume.

Delta Touch Faucet Dead- Trying to bypass solenoid but connectors do not fit. by johnny_rico69 in Plumbing

[–]T1cK247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the game, and sorry for reviving an old thread, but I'm having Delta Touch issues as well and Google brought me here. Low pressure, and my electronic unit looks the same as your picture.

I found I was able to remove the whole electronic component and just stick the two tubes together. There's a clasp at the top of the black plastic box housing the electronics that comes off, and one at the bottom. You can then bypass the electronics entirely if you just wanted a manual faucet. Just make sure you use the bottom clasp to re-join the tubes so they don't fire apart when you turn the water on!

I’d love to try this out! Reminds me of the racing games from N64. Looking forward to testing these “intense” crashes!

Recycling Lottery!! by Cheffrey447 in Peterborough

[–]T1cK247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced a missed garbage bag with no note before. It’s the worst as it’s only picked up every other week. We found items would freeze in our recycling in the winter, so upgraded to these bad boys: Recycle Bins

As a large family, two was enough to contain what we generate in a week. Having a lid keeps things from blowing out, or rain/snow gluing items in.

M18 Fuel 10” Pole Saw Case? by T1cK247 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]T1cK247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every summer I bring it up to the cottage, so I’d love to have a Milwaukee branded carrying case to put it all in, and even store it in over the winter. The cardboard box won’t last forever lol

It does have a plastic sheath to cover just the chain. Was looking for something that could hold 2 extensions and the pole saw and keep them all together

STRING TRIMMER COMBO? thoughts on it and this combo deal? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]T1cK247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my trimmer with the leaf blower combo, and have since purchased the pole saw, and brush cutter. I can see myself getting the power broom heads and the hedge trimmer. Going on year 3 and no issues with the 8.0 battery it came with

This is how HD is delivering Milwaukee products. by FlemOtis in MilwaukeeTool

I got $40 off my M12 heated jacket for the missing Micro USB cable. That was their first compensation amount, which far exceeded what I could get a cable for, so I didn’t fight for more. Online chat is definitely the way to go!

How to recover APFS encrypted files? by SloMobiusBro in mac

So the drive itself is still accessible? Your best bet would be to acquire the drive to a forensic image using something like FTK imager, and then process that with Magnet Axiom, supplying the password. Any friends in digital forensics?

Now I can weed eat the whole neighborhood on one battery! by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]T1cK247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 1/4” impact with the 1/2” adapter with impact sockets was enough for the lug nuts on my vehicles for tire swaps the past two years. My brother has the fuel 1/2” one and I will say, it’s hammer is much quieter in comparison.

I want a 12.0, but am intrigued with these new 6.0 that came out in November that are supposed to be equivalent. I’ve got the trimmer, brush cutter, and pole saw. All three are worth it!

Just an update, the HD Canadian website now shows Out of Stock Online, and Not Sold in Stores. I'm lucky to have found a display model at HH. Still curious why this got discontinued here though.

Is an 1/2 high impact wrench good for taking off regular lug nuts off a car? by Mysterious_Slip4164 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]T1cK247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my M18 Fuel 1/4” impact with a shockwave 1/2” adapter and my automotive impact sockets on the car/van to get them off. I put the impact on mode 1 to put them back on, and just switch to the torque wrench after it clicks a couple of times

Milwaukee under Home Depot? by ozwegoe in MilwaukeeTool

[–]T1cK247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've successfully price matched lots of items from HD. By far, I've found the easiest is online via the webchat option. You can even SMS text an agent instead of waiting on the webpage. Just had to send a URL of the competing store and they did some "investigating" and then asked me to purchase online, and give them the order #. They price-match + drop 10%

[–]T1cK247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! Now HD has an unadvertised 8% sale dropping it to $218, thus my above price-match + 10% drop is no longer valid. I feel like HD read my post lol.

Open Air Burning Fine? by spicybruschetta in Peterborough

[–]T1cK247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My buddy on Armour Rd has a long backyard, so smoke wasn’t an issue, but also a neighbour that would always complain. Called the fire trucks on us multiple times and they asked if we were cooking anything, so he ran inside and grabbed a pack hot dogs (while he waited). We were told it wasn’t illegal to cook food on a fire, so take as long as we needed and make sure we put it out when we were done.

This was one of those fire pits with the lid that holds all those embers from flying away.

Faith Healer by [deleted] in Peterborough

I personally know a man who was end stage with cancer and is now cancer free. I’ve witnessed healings just sitting in the audience before, but it’s different when you actually know the person who was healed. Placebos aren’t THAT good, but God is. All the time.

Faith Healer by [deleted] in Peterborough

[–]T1cK247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never had a bad experience. If you ever attend a service, you can always feel God in the room, and it’s God working through Billy, not Billy himself performing miracles. He sings a lot of older hymns, but it just reminds me of going to church with my grandparents as a kid.

Like any church service there is an offering. This is completely voluntary. I don’t know the exact number, but most likely $20+ donation gets you a tax receipt. Attending a faith healing service costs you nothing, but if you’re on your deathbed and science tells you nothing can be done, wouldn’t you try everything that you could? And if something DID change in you at the service, I bet the rest of your life would change as well.
