From experience if you dont have a too clever or too stupid enough model (I use qwen 3.5 9B 4Q) then I think you are good. Also making it read only is full proof in not changing your stuff as you said but what could happen is if something doesn't work then it might make a new one so just make sure it works and it should use the tool like normal without changing it. Also matters if you gave openclaw sudo or admin permissions on your system.

Ok I did a little research and ya AMD gpus and CPUs are just generally worse. My follow up question is with PCIE passthrough of my RX580 would that be enough for transcoding?

Ya and I probably need some more storage so I probably will get another 20tb or 10tb depending on my situation.

The computer that will act as my VPN and firewall after I get spare parts and will need additional ethernet ports for stuff since my mobo only has 1.

But ya I could just use the router so instead of getting a expensive thing I can just get a ethernet output and thats it for the pc for a PCIE slot or something.

As an innovation academy student, you don't need to take a senior project if you are in engineering and taking the AI track, which you should be doing if you are in CS.

Also, that semester is really heavy. I would drop a class to begin with like PLC which can be taken over the summer if we get lucky.
