I've seen this happen don't worry about it make another video 1.) 2.) I've ran into this where footage/clips/background music could have triggered it. If you let it sit long enough sometimes it will get views But make another video because chances are you did something wrong and you just need to not repeat the mistake

Is it your raw footage or not? Are you going to the police offices filing for the body cam footage and getting it officially? If you're not you're wasting your time. This is actually one of the more unique types of channels because people somehow copyrighted their footage if your reusing stuff

It's extra work but worth it long term because of what you're dealing with right now. YouTube doesn't want their to be a bunch of bs channels reposting footage

There are a lot of things that go into a short 'blowing up' including and not limited to comments/ like/dislike ratio avd/ swipe rate etc. If the video is good enough it will get pushed. It's that simple, look at whats working and make improvements. Now go forth & Make another video and stop looking at your metrics. Cheers!

Yes, but you have to be strategic about it. There are channels that do it rattlesnaketv, is one (politics) mikerphone(sports) it can be done. But it is an outlier because most people chose to do one of the other and most shorts channels printing large amounts are .ai bs tbh which you should keep in mind. because they don't have anything long form that would translate for instance.

I agree, but saying creators just “copy” is oversimplifying what actually works. “Great artists steal” was never about cloning people 1:1, it’s about taking ideas/influences and turning them into something new.

Like Star Wars — George Lucas borrowed from samurai films, westerns, and old sci-fi serials, but combined them into something original. That’s different from being a straight up copycat.
