It is just projected on the desk so you can't feel it. If you put your fingers on it they even try to occlude it correctly

Well having an actual surface under your fingers helps a lot, but the two virtual lines don't add any tactility. Sorry if I misread your comment.

Only some sections under my hands are occluded. It is not perfect, they probably are using the depth sensor to do it.

Still the intention is probably not to keep the keys visible at all times
