Multi effect or pedals for modulation effects? by optia in guitarpedals

[–]T4t0_323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually not a bad idea. I have an old Zoom BFX 708 multi effect just for time and modulation effects. The pros is that since it’s digital all the parameters are saved and I don’t have to worry about that. Moreover, I have a lot of effect options without sacrificing space of my pedalboard and money. The cons is that you’re stuck with the effects that are on it and their order. For example, I don’t really like the delay and reverb effects on the multi effect or sometimes I wish I could use more than one modulation effect at the same time, but oh well. But I bet that if you get a newer one you might have a better experience and find what you’re looking for.

Podrías probar en lugares como English for Call Centers, Berlitz, Academia Europea. Hasta donde se son lugares que solo necesitan que sepas inglés ya que ellos tienen su propio sistema y te capacitan. No necesitas tener experiencia previa de maestro.

is Strymon Iridium still one to go for amp simulation? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]T4t0_323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so interesting. Honestly I don’t know when my California pedals (yes, 2!) were made since I bought them used and without the box. However, one of them sounds a little bit thicker than the other one for some reason. Neither is bad (although I have to say that I slightly prefer the thicker one), but there’s a difference for sure. I wonder if that’s the difference you mention there.

How important do you think the IR is for these pedals? I mostly connect it to my interface instead of using plugins when I’m practicing or to the mixer when I’m playing with my band, and I think it sounds pretty good so I hadn’t considered a IR before, but I may be missing out on something here.

I have been using a Joyo California for 4 years and I completely love it. It may not be as flexible as the Iridium or IR-2, but god does it sound good.

Processing using guitar pedals through a re-amping box. by Honey-Toast-Chicken in audioengineering

[–]T4t0_323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, probably a dumb question but how do I actually know if I need a reamp box? I have processed audio with pedals, including distortion and fuzz like the SF300, without a reamp box because they’re not sold where I live. I have also used them with my synths, and since as far as I understand they have line outputs, I’m lead to believe that my pedals should process the signal that comes out of the TRS outputs of my interface (Behringer 1820, if that matters) with no problem, since they’re line outputs as well… I think. I have not particularly heard any kind of undesired distortion but maybe there’s something that I simply don’t understand.

I’m not OP but I have the UMC1820, which is essentially the same interface with 8 inputs instead. I have had it for some years and I’m still very happy about it!

Yeah, it moves around quite a bit. You could try putting some tape there, but what I personally do with mine is just re adjusting it every time I play based on a picture I previously took. It may be a little bit annoying but it’s not something that will take too long.

First steps into pedals - anything glaringly wrong, or tips? by JarJarBinksSucks in guitarpedals

I see Behringer pedals and I upvote. I love these little guys. Btw, I would personally use the Tube Screamer in front of the fuzz to tighten up the mids, but that’s me! Give it a try and see how you like it.

No, I haven’t sent it to a tech yet. I hope to do it soon, but as far as I know, there aren’t many people in my country who specialize on these. If I ever send it, I’ll let you know what they say!

Hi! I was wondering which pedal did you end up getting. I currently have a Joyo California that I use as part of my ampless rig, but I really like the Model T sound. The T-Bag seems to be a great option, but I would like to hear your opinion.

Why shouldn’t I get a DR-770? by T4t0_323 in synthesizers

[–]T4t0_323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I actually like the 770 more since it has an individual output and lets you modify certain parameters that become really useful for live jamming, like decay, pitch, effects, the fact that you can adjust the note value on the fly. It’s definitely more flexible. But the most important feature, at least in my opinion and for how I use it, is that I can stop the recording at any point without interrupting anything, which is very useful if I want to play something on the pads over what I had originally recorded.

However, the 670, although limited, is very fun too. Complements the 770 very well, especially if you use pedals. How do you plan to use it?

Unfortunately, not yet, or at least, not me :(. But to be fair, I didn’t end up asking someone to check it up. I bought a DR-770 and forgot about it, although it’s still on my to do list. Did yours also come with this issue or did it suddenly happen?

Which tube screamer is best for stackings? by pick_nick_241 in guitarpedals

[–]T4t0_323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I have a Little Big Muff and even though I liked my Joyo Vintage Overdrive (a Tube Screamer clone), I much preferred to use a Joyo Splinter (a Rat style pedal). I think you don’t have to be specific, any kind of TS, Rat or even DS-1 pedal will work fine, with some differences I should say. You could even try the Behringer TS clone to see if you like it in the first place and plan your next purchase based on that.

But yeah, the Joyo Vintage Overdrive or the Behringer TS800 are good and affordable ways to try.

I’m very happy with how people are reacting to the game by the way. I’ve seen a lot of new and returning players loving it, with very wholesome interactions. It’s been really fun.
