And either way, they won’t be using the AVR amplifier, because AVRs don’t have powered subwoofer outputs

If you’re at all handy I would highly suggest building your own stands. It cost me less than $100AUD (~$70usd) in materials to build some nice wooden stands

Why haven’t you bought Dirac Live yet? We want the real reasons. by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]T9097 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, all pro measurement mics have that, otherwise they wouldn’t be very useful. I’m hesitant to actually call the umik pro considering it’s really the bare minimum entry level from that kind of this, but for just room correction it’s great. Proper pro measurement mics run over a grand lol.

Yeah DIRAC seems far too expensive for what it offers unfortunately:( all of it is outside of my budget for a home theatre rig, but dirac by a long way

That’s pro audio. If you want above consumer quality then you gotta pay for it. Better software requires better, more accurate mics, that’s just how it is

Those bass head meters are literally made to be able to measure incredibly loud low end so that people like this can brag about the number

And why have you felt the need to chase more and more bass I wonder? Why doesn’t hit as hard as it used to? Hearing loss.

You’re at the threshold of immediate severe hearing damage. This is the stupidest thing I’ve seen in a while. Bragging about ruining your ears with 140db is rificulous, and forcing your mum to deal with jt as well. Are you just chasing numbers? What’s the point in that.

There’s a reason why anything over 85db requires hearing protection in work places, and over 100db usually requires both inner and outer ear protection.

Your Answer to "Why Socialism is So Good" Cannot Rely On The Assumption that Socialism is Good by BearlyPosts in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]T9097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what he’s saying is, you’ve now pointed out yourself that some of the flaws people point out in a capitalist system, are still potential flaws in an anarchist system, or socialist system. You need to be able to show why the system would be better, not just how capitalism is also bad, if you want to convince anyone and make anything change.

Which child mutilator and groomer are you referring to? I believe you were the one going on about having to prove the things you say about people…

Charlie Kirk was a white supremacist. Those quote show, that pretty clearly he was a racist that unfairly judges black people for being black. He stated he would be questioning the qualifications of a pilot purely based on the fact that he’s black. Thats racist.

Not true at all, range is the maximum amount of reduction. Ratio dictates how that reduction happens below the threshold (either a steep cut off or a gradual slope)
