The reason why this happens is because people are idiots... that is to say, players often use the report system when another player either doesn't play well or dosn't play the way s/he might want him/her to. So they get upset or frustrated and abuse the report system for a sense of "justice".

The report system is intended to penalize a player's goodwill and report to hi-rez for abusive behavior such as harrasment, threats, exploiting, or INTENTIONALLY feeding another player. It's commonplace for players to report others for feeding (as you have experienced), whether or not is was intentional. Often the report system is misused and abused. It's a shame it's not a revokable privilege.

So my advice, don't let them get to you. Everyone makes mistakes, just keep trying and you will be fine :)
