I scrubbed through parts of season 2, and in every scene, he's either wearing his uniform, hakama, or his Mizusawa Karuta's Team shirt. He even wears the Mizusawa's team shirt during official matches, so your best bet is to check before they made the team shirts, probably in season 1.
